Pruitt has done enough to get fired. But the new found confidence in those that will be involved in replacing him revolves around nothing but hope.

Its not hard to see why we continue to end up back at the same spot. Unless some major things change, we ll be having the same conversation in 2023 or 24.

I've seen people fired on their wedding day, birthday, etc etc. I once got hired for a job one day after my predecessor died (with her husband still working there). Don't think they'd fire Pruitt on the day of his granddad's funeral tho.

Still, doesn't mean they can't make the decision on that day. Or talk to other coaches on that day either.

If Meyer didn’t go to Texas for a gazillion dollars, he d**n sure ain’t gonna come here. Stoops would be great, and there was an article the other day that made it sound like a possibility, but I have a hard time seeing it. If I had to guess, I’d guess Kiffin’s chances of getting hired here are remote. Besides, his winning percentage as HC is probably no higher than half the guys on your “No thanks” list.

I’m with you on Fickell and Chadwell though.

I think you are right. Too much to overcome. And it is the right thing to do.

However, I don’t have a lot of confidence that we will hire a better coach.

I wanted to like Pruitt. He is a ball coach, but he does not have the emotional makeup to be a HC. How can someone that's a good recruiter be a horrible people person?
