“He’s done. I see no way he returns at this point. Feeling around the complex is very gloom. Nothing official obviously but with several important people in town this weekend and the compliance issues being released right before kickoff, it’s not looking good for Pruitt.”

“Hearing Peyton Manning is a major player here along with Randy Boyd. There’s a reason Peyton has been at the last two home games.”

On violations-
“I’m told it’s damning for Pruitt and staff. The feeling is that the NCAA takes it easier on programs when that coach is removed. History has shown that.”

Damning for the entire staff? Including Tee and Jay?

I’m aware.

But that doesn’t make things clearer - a lot of power people want different things.

Outside Kiffin,
Which of the last 3 hires (since Fulmer) were in the picture when the job came open.

Pruitt has done enough to get fired. But the new found confidence in those that will be involved in replacing him revolves around nothing but hope.

Its not hard to see why we continue to end up back at the same spot. Unless some major things change, we ll be having the same conversation in 2023 or 24.

These people don't want Steele
The one thing I will say about Kiffin (he did it wrong leaving agreed) is Tennessee has had zero swag, edge or anything else since him. At least we were in every game and we had some grit to us. We do not have any of that now or since. Its like the players are not having fun and the mentality of getting behind is its over and it shows badly. Now there has been a couple of games over the years but rarely if ever.

Who is Bob_Vols?

No. Apparently he is attending his grandfather’s funeral.
Not trying to be cold or disrespect the dead, but just had a flash of Ferris Bueller where they fake Sloane's, was it her Grandma's death? Anyway, just pictured Principal Rooney saying, "Why don't you roll her old bones down here?"

Neither here nor there.

Dobbs and Kamara brought some style to the team. Sutton and Barnett too on defense IMO.

If nothing else happened this year and the in field product was still 3-7 he would be back 100%
Maybe. Seems like plenty (except Phil) wanted him gone and not just talking about fans. That said, if they wanted him gone, didn't have the balls to do it on recorad alone and are using the "violations" to "appear" justified, that's a little on the sleazy side IMO...

I feel like Pruitt isnt gonna get fired til Monday or Tuesday, since the funeral is tomorrow

I hope that would be the case. There’s no good way to do it but I would hope we wouldn’t fire the guy tonight before he goes to his granddad’s funeral. Fire the guy on Monday.
