I don't get the though process of Pruitt is better than Dooley. Think it's pretty lazy to just bring up the SEC record. Dooley wasn't getting his **** kicked in every game in year 3 and his team was very good at something at least. He just made a completely awful hire in Sal. If he even hires a decent DC that year, TN is 9-3 or 10-2 lol. Meanwhile Jeremy in year 3 is losing every single game by double digits, and his supposed side of the ball is flat out awful.

Doubt Pruitt will be fired until the investigation is over. Why would you? They may find something to lower the buyout and they lost that chance because they fired him too early. Hopefully the investigation is only a few more days but who knows.

This is my guess as well. There’s no bowl game. Your class is basically already finished. There aren’t any other open jobs you’re competing against. There’s no urgency now except for fan angst. They can afford to let that play out.

I think it would have to be pretty bad to fire Pruitt with cause and the level of smoke doesn't seem to be that much right now.

At the end of the day we have been paying coaches bottom level money for 10 years now and our football program has been making top 5 money in CFB. We shouldn't be worried about the dang buyout as fans.

To recap: Weinke, Friend and Nieds all likely gone at the least. Too little, too late IMO. Thinks Nieds was good recruiter (seems why now lol) but a terrible on-field coach. Anyone else with an expiring deal besides Tee?
