Yes, I know. I know several guys who share his opinion, and I know others who don't. And both sides are dug in.

I've been saying this for weeks.

I’m going to say it everyday till they get off their lazy as**s....
What person in their right mind is fighting to keep Pruitt?
Seriously, how ******* dumb are these people?
We have reached the zenith of stupidity.
Someone who knows, please say which specific boosters besides Fulmer want Pruitt to stay?
I just hope these idiots remember to breathe as they drag this fanbase through the mud for the 13th year in a row.

What if PF knew the boosters were back-channelling other head coaches to replace Pruitt, so he tipped off Trey Wallace in order to muddy the waters and shrink the potential coaching candidate pool.
LAVOL is saying PF cannot make the decisions, but he most certainly has enough people on his side to help push his agenda.
By shrinking the coaching candidate pool and stirring up an internal investigation, the would most certainly guarantee Pruitt more time in his mind.

Why would they hurt recruiting and the health of the program to keep Pruitt?

AP Re Weinke:
"Is it possible that Wienke isn’t a bad coach and that JG/JT just aren’t very good and HB is green?"
"That’s what some on campus believe."-AP
It might be possible Pruitt tied his hands with the JG love but at some point he should have slipped some reps in practice to the other QBs.

Here’s what I choose to believe. The University was embarrassed nationally last coaching search. There is no way they are going to let that happen again. They were never gonna fire Pruitt and then start a search that would risk getting dragged by the media a second time. The reason Pruitt hasn’t been fired is because they are making sure they have their ducks in a row. I expect when they do announce he is fired they announce the new HC within a couple of days.
On the flip side, a sure fire sign that he is going to be retained is if he is allowed to hire any new assistant coaches. If even one new assistant, such as a DL coach, is announced then he is 100% being retained. If the University is even considering firing him there is no way they allow him to hire new staff. That would be the equivalent of burning money.

If true, this would be telling.
According to Basilio, Pruitt was inquiring to his superiors about replacing Friend and he was told to hold off for now.

Sounds plausible. I hope you are correct. Sounds a little too "non half a**" for Tennessee, though.

Here is a fact for all the people that want Kiffin back. He is responsible for fielding the worst defense in the entire country! View attachment 333186

You realize how bad Ole Miss’ defense has been since Freeze got busted? Even Matt Luke couldn’t improve the defense over multiple seasons. The only way to counter a bad defense is a bad ass offense. Kiffin did that in year 1. Ole Miss didn’t have a treasure trove of talent in defense. Will take a season or two to get one built.

That’s why you hire offensive guys in first place. Even if they have a horrid defense, they can still run an offense that scores and keeps them in games. Hiring defensive guys these days ain’t smart. Even with a good or steady defense, they aint sh!t without a strong offense.

Another that would likely follow Freeze is Dan Werner

Co OC and QBs coach for Ole Miss while he was there. Now at South Carolina. Responsible for the signing and commitments of

5⭐️Shea Patterson
4⭐️ Ryan Hillinski
4⭐️ Luke Doty
4⭐️ Ryan Buchanan

He also found stud JUCO QBs Chad Kelly and Jordan Ta’Amu from basically outta nowhere. And made Bo Wallace a top 5 SEC QB. Basically, this guy can work quarterback magic

And no he wasn’t responsible for the Collin Hill mess at SC, that was all Mike Bobo’s say so

there biggest lose 16 pts and beat ky lost by 7 to auburn. yeah maybe not twice as many but cut to the chase they would and will beat the dog **** out of us this year and next no defense or not.
Possibly or if we play like two years ago at the end..... we have a decent chance of beating them......I semi like Lane too but he is the most over hyped coach in the country based on what he has accomplished.
