No.
1. He gave Pruitt the undeserved contract extension, showing his inexperience
2. He doubled down for the longest on backing Pruitt, and potentially drug this thing out longer.
3. If Steele is the guy he plans on hiring, it proves he has not learned from his mistakes.
don’t you at least give fulmer a pass on the first hire under the circumstances?
I mean he eliminated Chad Morris which was correct and that left 3 rough choices, all assistants. It’s not like he hired Pruitt from a long and full search
He deserves a mulligan under the circumstances imo
Freeze and Herman are the 2 choices. So that means they have no chance! Fulmer may name himself the new HC.I think we have two realistic choices that we should hope for, or else we're in big, big trouble.
Herman, who probably won't be hired because of his reputation for not getting along with boosters. And Chadwell, who may not be hired for lack of experience, or may be hired but have all the hands in the cookie jar forcing a staff on him if he does.
This is TN. We're going to bungle this thing and end up hiring either a loser with a losing record, or we're going to hamstring a winner like Chadwell
I know it’s extremely risky, but if this is true and I was in the administration. I would straight tell JP to go f*** himself and try to get your money. You don’t get failure money plus a cush landing spot.
You could be right. I look at it that no one was coming after him to be their head coach so why put ourselves in that situation.obviously in hindsight it was mistake but extensions are about recruiting more than anything. I don’t think that’s a mistake that is job threatening but a mistake nonetheless
Recruited, if you notice in games RBs and WRs are always talking to him. Everyone complains that he is always on TV and he is because the skill players always get sideline time and they are talking to him. People can criticize him and I wanted him gone, but his offense was good here for 3 years. Everyone says it was Dobbs, but he recruited Dobbs
I agree but his stubbornness and unwillingness to admit he made a mistake and now has put us in the situation we’re in is the issue.don’t you at least give fulmer a pass on the first hire under the circumstances?
