imo, Steele is hired to be the glue to hold the team together. He was never going to be the HC.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be very excited if Chadwell is indeed the next HC but I’d rather see him than Marrone.

It’s such a weird feeling

I’ve been a fan for years, became obsessed with recruiting and that kind of tapered of the last two years. Now, I literally don’t care who transfers. I’m just not interested. The coaching drama is interesting to me but I’m really losing the more passionate aspects of my fandom

Like the sound of this better than other scenarios I've seen..

Just my opinion, thinking logically and trying not to remember that this is Tennessee we are dealing with.. but unless they are 100% sure of keeping Pruitt, hiring Steele was signed off by a potential new head coach which means one is already selected behind the scenes. I would have to think Marrone or Chadwell. Hiring a coach to just let him go in a week is embarrassing even beyond Tennessee's standards and those idiots shoot for the stars.

If a change is made and if it’s between Chadwell and Marrone. I’m gonna take my chance with Chadwell. He’s the anti Pruitt at this point and what I mean by that... he’s got personality and spunk.

Going polar opposite personality is a pattern we need to stop doing. Hire the best coach idc where he’s from or his ties or his accent.

Steele as interim makes sense if we had our whole staff except HC. It doesn't make sense with having to replace most of them. It's a near catastrophic idea from recruiting to retention of current players. The way this has been handled has been awful. The Tennessee management should be ashamed about this.

I don't give a crap where the next coach is from, or what accent he has...I want a lively, energetic and high ceiling guy for the next go-round and every round after that until we get lucky and find our Matt Campbell.

All any of these boring lifeless rejects do is guarantee more of the same or slightly better.

Makes sense in regards to a firing NLT the Monday meeting. Barn did the same thing with Gus before his team meeting. I think the fire for cause. Then both sides have a $# the are comfortable with for a negotiated buyout 6 mo. from now.

Cliffs:
WM didn't embrace the "re-recruitment" process once arriving to UT.
Has all the potential but it starts with him. If he doesn't put the work in, it won't matter where he transfers to, it will be the same result unless he understands the work that's needed to reach the NFL.
