I want Pruitt fired now too, but no..I am not as fickle as 90% of VN. I do not believe he is a bad football coach, or "a fraud", I do believe that he made too many bad decisions that doomed him, and he was obviously not ready to be a HC, but calling him a fraud is absolutely ridiculous.

Like I have told you for the last three years, It is obviously personal with you for some reason and because of that your opinion of him means nothing to me.

Hey serious question--- where do you see/believe that he has done well and improved the program and team from year 1 to year 3? Do you just think he is in over his head like Dooley and needs to stick with being a coordinator?

The NCAA will be involved. This is just the internal investigation that usually never sees the light of day.

UT has to report its findings. The NCAA will not just accept their word, there will be documentation involved and UT's recommendations. UT cannot issue a show cause but can suggest punishment to the NCAA. If this happens Nieds is done for a while unless he goes to the NFL.

A NCAA summary disposition is how there can be a resolution without the whole, long running, formal, ugly process. All parties have to be in agreement as to the infractions and the proposed penalties. Using reputable outside counsel that specializes in these events helps facilitate the resolution. As an example none of us knew about UF/Mullen being investigated and a show cause until well after it had been implemented. This may be the same type deal. I have no idea how it may or may not have been used in a buy-out negotiation.

What is a Summary Disposition?

Where do they seem confident he’s returning? All I’ve noticed from them, just like always, is they’re not speculating or feeding on rumors.

They’ve been saying for a while now until the investigation is over they don’t know what’s going to happen. He could be fired, he could stay. They don’t know. But currently Pruitt is the coach and that’s what they report on.

If he’s let go they will say something like, “as we’ve reported for weeks the investigation had to conclude before any decision was made. And this is the decision…”

On the podcast today, it seemed like they were pretty confident Pruitt would be back for 2021, all based on the Steele hire.

Hubbs was doubling down that Pruitt made the hire, and that he (Pruitt)made some comments about welcoming him to the staff (which he did), thus, that must mean he's the coach moving forward.

He may have very well made the hire, but let's be honest, him saying something publicly was more about players, recruits, and transfers, than job status.
Furthermore, Steele played under Majors, got his coaching career started at UT, came back and coached there with Fulmer ...

I have said on this site that Pruitt hiring means he's back, but this hire doesn't convince me.
Nothing is for sure until the investigation is over.

Sorry for the rant ... had nothing to do with you or anything.

TL/DR version to answer your question, they seemed confident on the podcast today.

If this is a Tenn internal investigation without the NcAA how would we have the ability to interview Mims?

that part doesn’t add up to me as I don’t think we would have access to him
The VQ posters were just guessing hoping for e-cred later. The show cause comment and the Mims comment both show they don't know how the current UT internal investigation works.

There will be several more troll attempts before the actual decision is made. Everyone should wait for the national guys or the mods of TOS to report. Everything else is a guess or troll attempt.
