Honestly how was it handled wrongly towards Pruitt? No one in the AD have said anything about him. Were they not supposed to investigate it at all? The only people saying anything are fans and media members....and thats based on assumptions.
I don't know . Their silence and hiring freeze caused the rumor mill to run rampant. Maybe behind the scenes they have given him a vote of confidence and he is okay with the public perception.

There's some people on here REALLY happy that we are going to be god awful next year.

To each their own I guess...
I'm not happy about it.
I am full aware that we will be absolutely TERRIBLE next year and Pruitt will be the coach.
Not happy about it but I have accepted the facts in front of me.

Wanya, Palmer, Johnson, Trey Smith (I know everybody knew he'd leave, but he's still gone), Bennett. Bunch of other depth guys are gone.

We lost quite a few players off a team that already sucked.
Wanya I will acknowledge will hurt if not next year definitely the following year. The others I expected to leave anyway. Bennett (I'm assuming you are getting mixed up with Johnson) may very well be in jail.

Again, I might just be a total dumbass, but I still think he'll be fired.

This decision is coming over his head and in the meantime he is working like he's going to be here in 2021. I also happen to believe he knows all these guys deciding to transfer doesn't help his argument for staying.
Well....if the shoe fits.

You know what, I have to admit it's pretty impressive and feels good that Pruitt is working so hard to keep this job. I didn't expect that. I expected him to fold, settle, and go to Texas or Bama.

Instead he's actively fighting for transfers and his players. He's fighting the investigation. He's acting (from what I can see) like he actually really wants this.

That's really refreshing TBH.

Dont worry guys. In a few hours you will get another nice nugget of absolutel truth from some source or insider to put your mind at ease and convince you Pruitt is fired.

Yes, he is still going to be terminated. I suspect that trying to salvage the roster is tied to a concession that the university made in relation to his buy-out. Probably a condition of the proposed settlement and I also expect that him doing this was necessary for UT's internal investigation report to not implicate him as directly so as to help him be able to coach next year. Remember what everyone has said that has information, if both parties go scorched earth, that's not good for anyone. I suspect this is part of a tentative agreement to prevent scorched earth on either side.

Pruitt helps salvage the roster (easier now that "free" transfers are likely off the table for another year) and in return he gets a larger settlement and less blame in the report that goes to the NCAA. $$ and marketability are pretty good motivators, even for Beldar Cornbread.

Tennessee's clearly a mess right now. The tea leaves are all confused. If Pruitt hasn't been fired by the 20th, then I'll believe he is sticking around. We're past conspiracy level thinking if basically every reporter (local and national) is acknowledging the likelihood of him leaving, whether its a termination for cause or a settled buyout.

No, not getting Deandre Johnson mixed up with Bennett. Actually could have mentioned Brandon Johnson too, although with the emergence of Hyatt he might have been lost in the shuffle anyway.

Kivon, whether if he was transferring, going to the NFL, or sitting in a jail cell, isn't going to be here next year regardless. He was a productive player for us last year when he was playing.
