Been way out of the loop lately, so SIAP, but why is the consensus that UT wouldn’t call Freeze if they decide to move on from CJP?

Understand that he has a past. I guess I’m asking, is that what the major belief why is? Is that why Auburn didn’t go after him?

Thanks and GBO.

Been hearing conflicting things. On hand word was that Sankey claimed to have “cleared” him to work in the SEC since Ole Miss is off probation but then there are reports that Auburn was told they couldn’t hire him, so who knows.

If you are tweeting your top 3 for a transfer tells me all I need to know..

Wish him well.
Good luck wherever you go and hopefully someone can make you a better lineman because for your high rating to come out, you have shown me not a whole lot other than penalties and sacks. Good luck again

I take all of this to mean we still have people who want different things that are still fighting. Why can't we have a leader that brings everyone together???
Here’s a thought & I know it’s crazy to say just bc it’s prolly not a chance in happening. Several has always said they wished Peyton would coach but I actually think he’d be perfect in the AD seat. With all due respect to Fulmer, but he has his enemies as well as allies. I think Peyton could actually bring everyone together between boosters athletic department coaches & BOT. Just a thought

It's also why they loaded the plane and headed west today... Keep ht, and you have a way to sell the message to current players and recruits on visits.

I think it's a huge deal if we can keep ht.
Agreed, but if we can't it's over, we will struggle terribly on defense and there will be nothing left to sell.

Appreciate that.

That’s what I would think- that time has passed and it heals all wounds, and in this profession, what really matters besides winning? (Insert joke about UT AD and leadership)

Dude screwed up. But he admitted fault, seems like he’s tried to right his wrongs, and honestly, maybe most importantly, has won at Liberty. And everywhere else he’s been.

Makes me think of Sark to UTjr. He had a problem, even (supposedly) showed up to a conference drunk, but seems to have straightened up and has been successful. Read a great article about him talking about his past and how he’s not going to become complacent and is still hungry.

Also, I am in no way saying that showing up drunk to a function and calling an escort service on a school-provided device the same infraction, just is what came to my mind.

Hard to say for sure. In my opinion they look at a coach who's record is mediocre with some great wins but terrible losses. Couple that with being considered a compliance risk and I think programs don't consider him worth the risk.

Makes sense. Appreciate the info.

I saw something where he’d won 10 games at every school he’d been at. I’d take that after 13 miserable years!
