If they don’t have a clear upgrade at this point in the game. I think it’s a bad move to make a change just for the sake of making it right now. If it’s not an upgrade, we’ll be stuck with another 3 year (bare minimum) dud. I’d rather keep the dude and continue to talk to potential upgrades for a another season, imo. The time to send him down the road was a month ago if that was the ultimate goal.

There's no way he can effectively bring everyone together when some of the ones that fired him are still there. Unless.....they all cared more about the team than their glory and being right.

I just think it’s Fulmer being stubborn. This is all my opinion btw. He didn’t like the way he got fired, so he’s trying to give Pruitt every chance he can to right the ship. Even at the detriment of the program. He wants to be able to look like he made the right hire, and continue to be correct.

Yup. If he's staying let the man hire the much needed replacements. They couldn't have handled this worse. Garner needs to be the next move and surely Chaney has input on a solid OL coach in his 80 years of coaching.

I agree with that. But also think there are those that have been waiting for the opportunity to show him how wrong he is. If there wasn't that animosity then they might could work together to solve this instead of trying to be the one that's right. Think the other side has been trying to get someone that would convince those in charge that it's worth getting another coach. While Fulmer and those that support him have been trying to come up with a plan to prove they can succeed and turn it around. JMO

I don't get this being Pro-Pruitt or Anti-Pruitt. It's about what's best for UT. My opinion it's best to move on from him ASAP. Nothing personal. Been fired from Coaching job before. It happens. IF they decide Pruitt gets another year, I hope he surrounds himself with quality people and learns how to lose the ego and get along. If he stays and UT wins, more power to him.

Lol..I am a spring/summer/fall traveler. The only place I wanna go in winter is the tropics..

Well, my parents share a property out there with 11 other owners. Get 4 weeks out of the year. They get out there in the winter and do some snowboarding and in the summer for some biking/hiking. I get out there when I can! Beautiful place any time of year!

Yeah. The ole reset button in year 4 is not good. If he survives he has put himself in a very difficult situation. One I'm not sure he can manage..
The longer the limbo lasts, the worse for whoever coaches this team next.

If you're hitching you wagon to Pruitt, might as well be willing to do so for a longer term.. Banking on a result somewhere between Mark stoops and dabo...

The problem with that is he has very thin margin of error. Razor thin. And at the hint of a misstep, there'll be well timed and accurate 'i told us so's'ready and waiting.

So all that to say... If he has any 'do more with less' in there... Now. Is. The. Time.

Otherwise... We just do this all over again... Again.
