There is NO WAY ...Steele will be HC..
...literally no way.. Not a proven HC ..end of story...carry on now

Hubbs strictly said it’s for roster stability and to keep from other players transferring. Boyd specifically said they’re looking to hire a proven winner that’s been a HC. Steele does not fall under that. IMO he’s the last option if everyone else doesn’t take the job.
Again, normal schools don't hire placeholder coaches for stability during a coaching search.

You fire the head coach, keep a few of the assistants around who are already there through the transition, then the new coach takes over.

Would like to propose a new RF rule.

If someone is going to use “gimmicky” or brings up a team motto in their argument against fleck or even halfway compares him to butch Jones....

Instead Just save us all the time and say you’re too lazy to actually do research into his background, resume, and on field results. It would solve a lot of issues.
What's this MehFleck stuff you're speaking of?

Normal schools don't fire their coach in January just as the team is coming back to start the offseason program.

You don't need an interim coach if the students aren't even on campus.

You don't give an interim HC the ability to hire coaches unless you're the permanent HC or if it's been approved by the next HC. Period.

I think you do what you gotta do to keep developing the program as much as you can. You can't just tell our current players to sit and wait. Steele needs help like today.

New assistants coming in here know the deal. If a new head coach is hired they may get an opportunity to stay on staff, but they would also understand that a new guy may have his own plans. Nobody we're bringing in is signing a long term contract.

Y'all are reading too much into this kinda stuff. Fulmer is gone. Nobody is dying to name Steele permanent HC. Just let it play out.

He’s been available since he left OU....where OU people were beyond ready to see him go.

I’m not saying he’s Dooley or Pruitt. He was a very good coach at one point in time. He would be a good hire but i believe he is miles away from urban Meyer who is a comparable example. If we’re ponying up 8-10 mil... i want to go steal someone’s coach that is winning now.

Fleck is straight up ass cheeks.

Don’t need a response, just know he is ass. Have a nice day.

exactly...we all know how that turned out.....I repeat Kevin Steele will not be HC... 120,000 to a search firm to find a AD to then turn around to hire someone already on staff....Nope

Just worth pointing out that Steele hasn't actually hired anyone yet. From the article:

Late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, sources told FootballScoop the direction Steele is working to take in what Steele intends to be his initial staff maneuvers, if and when Tennessee allows its interim coach to attempt to fill out the myriad openings in the Vols’ football department.

These deals may in fact be inked tomorrow, but as of now, Steele hasn't hired anyone, so stop acting like he has already. It's silly season right now.

You do have to admit though...if a school exists that would do something like that, then it's definitely Tennessee. We set the bar of administrative incompetence.

If he's the coach you think he is, then there is no "reloading" in year 4. They're all Fleck's recruits.

He's not the one for us

What recruits are lining up to play at Minnesota. If you could reload there... they would be called Ohio state and not Minnesota. Programs have a ceiling. They don’t have the resources to sustain success at that level.
