She could have handled this investigation much different instead of opening everything up for the NCAA to walk in and not even have to do work to give us the Death penalty. She has killed the program. We will not get a good AD or Coach to come to this mess.
Outside counsel that she hired is who recommended informing the NCAA....you are very ill-informed on this whole situation. We aren't getting the death penalty....

Agreed and any new HC should be able to easily lay this out to HT, EG, etc. It's a very big risk to transfer 1 year from possibly being drafted and waste your last year sitting.

Ain’t nobody sitting off this team.

bowl ban will take care of that

Confused about one thing: how in the hell have these kids in the portal made restitution payments for their improper benefits? They are ineligible until they do so (exception if it's an academic benefit per §16). These kids were getting THOUSANDS of dollars. This assumes those in the portal did, in fact, receive impermissible benefits. Maybe the money was given to their families?
"Assumes".

They have not been charged with anything by the NCAA and they work slow as molasses.

Lol. Y’all crazy. This team was terrible. Yes Too Too and Gray really hurts. But to get a better coach and reduce our penalties (we were headed for much worse if we kept Pruitt) then it’s a win. We were looking at 5-6 wins and a bowl ban to 3-4 wins and still no bowl. Let’s come off the ledge. A big hire is what we need and will repair us in the long run. Anyone saying we should have kept Pruitt is crazy.
Pruitt def needed to go. Right after TAMU for embarrassing the program with 3 wins.

Not this **** storm of self induced NCAA violations with the mass exodus. We are dumbest ****ing program around. Fulmer is a giant ****ing jackass

The schools they are going to won't have the same paper trails that we did.

I agree with cleaning the slate. Most of us feel that was the right decision, and there's still a bit more cleaning to come. And no question, Boyd was involved as was John Compton. Others were kept more in the dark.

But let me ask you this: do you think with all the blatant, sloppy, egregious cheating running rampant throughout the program, carried out in plain sight and shocking enough to necessitate the termination of half the staff-- with all that, we're supposed to believe nobody above Fulmer had a clue what was going on? The buck stopped there, and it was innocence, virtue and high principles above Fulmer and Pruitt?

It's sausagemaking at any bigtime program where it's win at all costs. None of the UT power trio are new kids on the block. It happened on their watch, and they know how winning programs win. Did they think they ran the only clean program in the SEC? Were they oblivious... indifferent... or willing to look the other way until it suited their purposes not to?

You answered the question you posed. I'm not arguing the facts, I am posing a different context. It was all blatant -so Fulmer knew. In fact the entire department knew, coaches, players, families, opponents, HS coaches, etc. Donde and Randy probably knew something was going on but stayed out enough for plausible deniability. Did they know the details of the sloppiness or did they think it was the usual way it's done? Their response told me they probably had an idea about some level of it, but not the full story. Fulmer had probably been telling them all along he had everything under control in the program and they trusted him.

Then the whistleblower comes in "officially" and the following threat that if they don't get on top of it quickly it will destroy the program comes from legal counsel. IMO, legal counsel has directed every move and statement they have made since announced. That explains the show we saw at the presser and Phil getting to retire with his buyout.

I'm just speculating. I don't think they had any options but do it the way they have. Donde and Randy posturing for the public is all they could do.

Can’t wait to see our line next year lol

LT - Mays
LG - Spragg
C - Mays
RG - Carvin
RY - Wright (if he stays)

What y’all think? Am I missing anyone obvious?
Some options we have forgotten about who maybe have been developing behind the scenes. Lampley, Carvin, James Robinson, Akporoghene

From TOS
"Four-star Class of 2021 DT Tywone Malone of Oradell, N.J., a top-100 prospect and longtime Tennessee target, is no longer planning to travel to Tennessee this weekend, according to 247Sports’ Brian Dohn. He originally intended to go to Ole Miss and UT this weekend, but he’s now just planning to make it to Ole Miss."

Addition by subtraction. Give me kids that I can root for and Ill keep rooting
You say that now but just remember your said this when we absolutely suck arse for three more years minimum.

I can't blame these kids. They were conditioned by a vindictive coach who was more worried about being right and people doing things the way he wanted than success. When everything comes to light Pruitt will need a police escort when he enters the state. He's a piece of shat, plain and simple.

Now that he's gone we can move in the right direction, but the fact what we thought was a VFL would enable and participate in what Pruitt was doing will forever tarnish his reputation. Tennessee will try to save face when it comes to Fulmer but as far as I'm concerned if even half the things I've been told are true he's dead to me, I'd hold Saban and Spurrier in higher esteem.

If her AD wasn't monitoring those under him and the HC failed to monitor those under him, wasn't she failing to monitor those under her? Or is selective monitoring The Right Way?

Yep and that’s why the next AD is going to watching over his shoulder all the time
With her
