I'm not sure how many of you watch Cobra Kai. I will say a lot of you are acting like a bunch of wussies. It's time to sack up and quit whining. It totally sucks to be where we are right now, but crying about it is not going to get us out of it. What will help is to support our TEAM,whomever is picked to lead it. Your little baby fits about not hiring Freeze or Kiffin do not help anything. Sniping at each other does not help anyone. We have known for awhile that this would not end well. Let's fight our way out. Go Vols.

If they’re offering 5.5-8 AND a sitting HC w/ power 5 experience then it lowers the list considerably. You’d have Campbell, Franklin, Kiffin, Fickell, and maybe Herman. None of which I think are real possibilities.
Offer that 8 mil and we'll see. I have a hard time believing we're gonna offer that much. I could see 5 and a half. But you definitely aint getting anyone above average for that with our situation.

We will have to overpay someone good to get them here with the mess we have. Its that simple.

How much hammering? They miss a bowl and...what? The only example of a death penalty in CFB history occurred because the AD and bigwigs denied everything and got busted live in local television by Dale Hansen. SMU here in Dallas if you’re a different generation.
It was one rogue person that helped few players from 2-3 different sports..... they Weren’t allowed to go to a bowl game..... lost 5% of their scholarships..... 3 years probation.... 5,000 dollar fine plus 1% of the football budget..... 7 week bans on unofficial visits.... recruiting communications, and recruiting contacts and evaluations....12.5 % cut in official visits and in person evaluation days....vacated wins in which any player participated....allows all seniors to transfer without restriction..... they complied 100% ..... then look at North Carolina who created fake classes for athletes and fought the ncaaa like crazy and the NCAA decided that no rules had been broken.

I was at the game when they played each other in Clemson. Some still believe he let his son win because his job was in jeopardy
Remember watching that one on TV. The wife/mom had some type of sweater cut in half with each team that they kept showing.

Highest altitude would be a U-2 at an undisclosed altitude. You see a handful of private jets cracking the 50,000ft mark.

Fastest, no can really go faster than Mach 1 in normal circumstances. Citation X’s cruise around 0.95 a lot of the time which is awesome to see.

Goodness...is the U-2 still flying or have you been around a bit? The guy I know worked Miami, then Tampa, and then Knox. He was convinced it was military, but going far faster than the SR-71 has ever "officially" gone.

Let’s just logic this thing out. Why would Bob Stoops come to Tennessee...but not even listen to Auburn when they have a better roster, just as much money and facilities, better national prestige and don’t have looming NCAA violations? Plus not have to play his brother every year?
Because he secretly wants to whoop his brother's ass every year? Brothers grow up fighting.

Yes it does. They aren’t in danger of losing their jobs. That’s a false equivalency
They are in danger of working in a terrible environment, it's an exact equivalency. Just because your company wasn't going out of business, you would stay at a company that's a complete disaster, where they aren't developing you, where all the leadership is turning over? And if any of your coworkers decided to look for another opportunity because they didn't like what the company had become, you'd call them quitters? That's middle school mentality man. In no other situation would you fault someone for changing their job because the environment was a total disaster.

Which leads us right back to Steele if no one like that is a possibility.

“I love Tennessee, my family is there. I grew up a huge Tennessee fan. I wanted to play at Tennessee but I wasn’t good enough. I love the state of Tennessee. I grew up a Volunteer. My family being there that place means a lot to me” - Chadwell

Hire him and pair him with Steele.* Let’s roll

*If we’re not hiring Kiffin, that is.

Don't care. There is zero correlation between growing up a fan of the school and athletic leadership success. If anything, you could argue there's a negative correlation.

No sources but using some logic I think O’Brien is the favorite right now

With every passing hour it becomes more likely.

7 days ago the news broke they he was finalizing a deal with Bama. He even spent time with them before the title game

a few days after that Marrone was rumored and then just a few more days was officially announced

if he isn’t announced by the end of the week it appears to be the obvious starring us in the face

I seem to recall PF reaching out to Saban before hiring Pruitt. It makes me wonder if Saban mentioned any red flags or if he was looking out for his assistants and gave a ringing endorsement and Phil bought it hook, line and sinker.
I am trying not to beat a dead horse but there were RED flags from his time at Georgia.

O brien is an NFL guy all the way. He would be gone as soon as an NFL job came up.

O’Brien has good offenses, was an NFL OC, is 51, had a winning record in the NFL...help developed Deshaun Watson...yet last week was gonna be the Alabama OC...doesn’t seem like a guy that is interested in being back in the NFL.
