Correct. I’m in Memphis, working planes over the mid-state.

Best of luck. Come hang out with me and @Tri-CitiesVol in the Pub if you want to talk aviation.

What's the craziest altitude or mach number you've ever seen come up? I knew an old ATC who swears they tracked something hitting a ridiculous number (like mach 7) over Tampa. Called the Air Force and were told they saw "nothing".

Not sure if posted.

I think it will be Ingram or Gilbert. Friday is real possibility, no later than Monday. They want a new coach in place by first week of February. I’m hearing they are willing to pay 5.5-8 million per year around 5-6 years for the right guy. They want a sitting HC w power 5 experience. If they get to a certain place then I believe Steele will get the job but it won’t be for lack of trying. I believe they will get their guy if the pay i hear is correct. They can’t afford any embarrassment and they understand that.

Let’s just logic this thing out. Why would Bob Stoops come to Tennessee...but not even listen to Auburn when they have a better roster, just as much money and facilities, better national prestige and don’t have looming NCAA violations? Plus not have to play his brother every year?

Careful you will get called a troll for saying the auburn job is better than ours

and heck this board argued against that before this ncaa mess

Tennessee is more likely to hit a weak grounder to second base and trip and fall face first trying to leg out a single

Tennessee is more likely to strike batter out with the winning run on 3rd base, only for it to be a passed ball that our catcher throws 15 feet over the 1st baseman's head because we have the yips when it comes to closing things out.

This is the point of the search where we fixate on a supposed achievable name (Stoops Gruden) when in reality they’re never contacted.

I’d be more than happy to come back and make fun of myself should we hire him

You all seem to be forgetting some of the trouble that Bob Stoops essentially “escaped/ran” from. He was on the hot seat because of expectations (as fair or otherwise, how ever you stand) and the fact it was believed he knew and hid/lied about Joe Mixons issues. That is huge to me. Those weren’t just paying a recruit in McDonalds bags but it was believed he knew Mixon was breaking the law and endangering people close to Mixon. If it wasn’t for Lincoln Riley he would have not rode off in the sunset but would have been fired and every chance he got he spewed hate on Tennessee.

I for one would prefer a lot of people before Stoops. Maybe I am in the minority.

Can you give me one example where the glazier firm helped a university turn themselves in and the NCAA went easy on them..... I wouldn’t make much..... my advice is to tell the NCAA FU.... we didn’t do nuthin...... as for my advice for tenn..... it would have been do a coaching/AD search on the sly..... fire Pruitt at end of season for 3 -7 record..... immediately name new coach and staff.... work to finish recruiting and recruit players on campus.... cover up any improprieties Pruitt and staff was involved in.... dont report anything except maybe a few secondary violations.
That is what should have been done

I seem to recall PF reaching out to Saban before hiring Pruitt. It makes me wonder if Saban mentioned any red flags or if he was looking out for his assistants and gave a ringing endorsement and Phil bought it hook, line and sinker.

Because maybe deep down he bleeds orange????

He’s exactly what we wouldn’t have wanted if we fired Pruitt after Kentucky. No Power 5 experience. Gimmicky offense. No experience recruiting at a high level. It’s not going to end well for us.
And we didn't fire him then but after this mess. We get what we can. Just hoping they do actually try this time. Only wished they would have tried before.
