This coaching search reminds me of the movie Beetlejuice. Donde and Randy are like Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin trying to get the family out of their house (trying to hire a coach), but continually failing. Meanwhile Beetlejuice (Lane Kiffin) is just sitting there waiting for them to say his name three times, and when they do:

This is why I'm on the fence. I know it's been stated before, but that is a different skill set than college.

There is just no way of telling if he would do well or not. Joe Judge almost got the Miss St job and ended up with the Giants instead and did a really good job. He coached special teams and WRs for one season.

I don't get the Mayo love. Sure, he is a VFL, but the absolute last thing we need is someone else with no HC experience. This is far too big a job for that, as we all saw with Pruitt.

He’s posted several things in advance the last month that turned out to be accurate. His track record is strong so far.
