Great, great coach, one of the best; but, can't recruit on a high enough level to beat Saban and Bama. I liked him in the last search; his time at UF has shown me he can't recruit at an elite level, and he has no excuses for this where he's at.

This place is awesome. Here we are 3-7 on the year, the laughing stock of college football the past few days, and this place is on fire tonight with optimism. It’s probably someone we haven’t thought of or given serious consideration IMO.

Nope, I agree with you here. If AV is to be believed about having our guy ( I believe he is) this makes me think its not Lane.

I just want to add to my other post. It makes sense why Low is pushing him. If everything needs to stay hushed up gotta distract a fan base with a name. I did find it a little weird how his name started getting pushed.
Now, I say that to say this, let's hope the next hire isn't a disappointment.

I just want to add to my other post. It makes sense why Low is pushing him. If everything needs to stay hushed up gotta distract a fan base with a name. I did find it a little weird how his name started getting pushed.
Now, I say that to say this, let's hope the next hire isn't a disappointment.

Haha no clue. I honestly wasn't expecting the AD hire so quick so haven't paid much attention. Though I did have a feeling Danny White would be near the top of the board.

As someone earlier alluded to I think, Lance Leipold at Buffalo makes sense being that white hired him there. But hard to predict white because every hire he's made just about weren't people you could track back to previous relationships with him. His family is incredibly well connected in college athletics so he probably has relationships with a ton of prospects that nobody knows about. And I think he trusts his interview process and gives everyone a fair shot. One name I've seen mentioned that makes sense if peyton is involved is Jim Caldwell . I've never been a fan of Tom Herman but have heard he's interested. Who knows though. I'm pretty confident whoever he picks will be successful and I think him being the AD will make a lot more coaches interested in the job.

I said that earlier and I believe it. All AV has given us is its a sitting HC. We also have reason to believe we are going after a pretty big price tag guy.
Campbell, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Fickell, Fleck are where I think we may be headed.

This I don't know, may not have been the right word. But basically give the fans something to be excited about while letting things play out.
White had to be in place before the hire is made. Now we know he won't be in Knoxville until tomorrow, and he plans on meeting the team this weekend. So, I don't think we get our answer before Monday.

Isn't Mullen also finishing up an NCAA serious penalty / show cause? That may eliminate him. Sorry if already discussed, skipped through multiple pages.
