Great, great coach, one of the best; but, can't recruit on a high enough level to beat Saban and Bama. I liked him in the last search; his time at UF has shown me he can't recruit at an elite level, and he has no excuses for this where he's at.

They were like inches away from beating bama. Y’all over blow recruiting rankings sometimes.

I said that earlier and I believe it. All AV has given us is its a sitting HC. We also have reason to believe we are going after a pretty big price tag guy.
Campbell, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Fickell, Fleck are where I think we may be headed.

Haven’t really thought of Kelly leaving ND but maybe he knows he can’t win a championship with the type of guys he has to recruit, maybe he wants to come to an SEC school and prove that he can win.

Not seen much talk about current NFL head coaches. Who would be some that would make a splash hire?

Doug Marrone and Bill Obrien were nfl head coaches last season and have both been mentioned as possible. Adam gase too but he’s one I'd not be excited about. My 2 favorite possible nfl guys to hope for that are available are Caldwell who i mentioned before and bienemy who may be the top of my wish list.

I intentionally left out defensive coaches like Pete Carroll ect... because they think White will hire a offensive minded coach. Plus Pete’s too old anyway.

AV says we have our guy and I believe him. IF that’s true then it isn’t Lane. He wouldn’t be lobbying for the job if so

If he lobbied earlier this week, then the boosters brought his name up to White and White agreed to hire, it can work. It didn’t say Lane is still lobbying. But I agree that it seems more likely it is someone else if Basillo’s Blog is correct

Last time when we hired Kiffin wasn't Brian Kelly the one who believed he had the job? Later he told the story about not having a daddy that was a well known DC in the NFL and thus he didn't get the job? Maybe this time around he gets the job? A very long shot but would send some shockwaves throughout CFB.
