So here's food for thought.
Who were the early favorites for the AD job? Ingram and Gilbert. Scott Carter was mentioned as well.
We have new leadership, on the hill, things have been extremely tight lipped. How many radio personalities were talking about Danny White? Literally besides @BruinVol being random as hell, I don't think I heard white mentioned until just before the hire was made last night.
I like Kiffin, I wanted him back in 17. But I feel very confident in saying we haven't brought up the name of who the coach is going to end up being. Or at least beat the dead horse on their name over and over.
Buddy. I love your thought process. But McVay has it Fn made in LA. He will be there much longer than Goff.So I just read an article about how Sean McVay and Jared Goff do not have a great relationship. Perhaps McVay wants out because Goff’s contract runs until 2024? Maybe he (like many other people lately) has a desire to flee California.
That’s impressive. I’ll give you that. But he just doesn’t excite me. His team was garbage this year. They got destroyed by Michigan. And I know it’s a “COVID” year but that’s unacceptable. He seems like he found his niche and his ceiling. I don’t see him getting serious offers from anyone in the SEC. And if we mean business, we have to stray from these type of hires. JMOYou don’t think taking WMU and Minnesota to their best seasons basically ever at least whispers it?
AV stated Chris Lowe is the guy to follow regarding information and he has only mentioned one single coach with interest in Tennessee.I said that earlier and I believe it. All AV has given us is its a sitting HC. We also have reason to believe we are going after a pretty big price tag guy.
Campbell, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Fickell, Fleck are where I think we may be headed.
