It was 10 scholarships per year!! So he could only sign 15 and the NCAA let any junior or senior transfer. They only had like 54 guys at one point due to injuries. Do your research dude. The fact that he won 10 games with that much against him is elite.
I'll pull for him if he comes here, but he's far from proven to be elite. Why would USC fire him if he performed at an elite level? He didn't perform as well as expected and he caused problems like he always does. If he comes here, he will have once again left a program high and dry after 1 season showing that he's not matured and is the same old Kiffin.

FWIW and SIAP. A friend just texted me a screenshot from a Vandy board that says Trey Smith's sister overheard players/recruits talking about getting paid and reported it to a compliance officer. That officer saw Pruitt and Fulmer as being complicit so he went straight to the chancellor. He goes on to say that Tee leaked info about the investigation because he hates Pruitt. I can't post a link because it is a membership page. The OP said that he is friends with a team Dr and booster.

I recall an insider posting that he hoped it never came out who reported this because of how bad it would be for the family and disturbing to the fans.

@Neyland Rising , if you find this message, know that we are pulling for you! We have been watching your progress from afar as you steadily make your way to the end of this thread. Godspeed good man! Post something for us! It is possible you are trapped in a time bubble. Have no fear, plow to the end of the thread. It is Monday at 3:48pm EST as I send this message.

Hope we get a coach that does intend to build instead of just throw something together quickly to please fans, media and administration.
i don't think he's gonna have a choice...lol.

of course, where we are right now and what may yet come with the roster, they can get creative in the transfer market, and maybe put something out there relatively quick that catches some eyes...

but i think the next couple of years are gonna be kinda rough. Good news...we should have QB's...so, that's a great place to start, and would be reason #1 to have some semblance of hope, early.

Ive never been excited about Chadwell. I think this season was a fluke.
even if it's not, i just am not convinced he's ready for THIS.

that's a big jump from myrtle beach to knoxville......he's one you'd like to see come in and be an OC here, or someplace like it, first.

but if "this is not the place to try things out" means anything, no way it's chadwell.

Because they had won 2 nattys and about 90 games the previous 8 years and he was dealt a sh!tty hand with all of the sanctions. Him being younger, he made a bad move because I dont believe he thought the sanctions would cripple them that bad. They still haven't recovered. Better than us, though. Hes made it known TN is a destination job for him now. I dont care how bad TN has been the past 12 years most would still say TN is a better job than Ole Miss. Make him a contract where he'd have to pay $20 million to leave. If he wants it that bad he will sign. If not, move on.

I think you have to take 1 great covid season with a grain of salt.
Exactly, Also if you look at Charleston Southern he had one good season then the next year his team took a big step back. His first two years at Coastal were terrible. It makes sense that maybe he pops up in a COVID year where teams cant practice. Its like playing Army, if you don't see the TO or have the time to put in to practice gaps its gonna get you. But if you have the time to practice against it, it isn't too bad.

I think he also rubbed some of their leadership the wrong way, hence the embarrassing firing

Thank you, Another reason on the long list of why I don't like him.... The media, fans, admins, boosters are a lot louder in Knoxville then they are in Myrtle Beach. Also where has he worked that he would be able to bring in SEC caliber assistants?

Agree with this, but the question is, would he get us to the area of 10-2,11-1, or 12-0 in a reasonable time. What I mean is the elite in the SEC and competing for a national title (again).
I mean are any of the other coaching hires possible to get to that level? I mean most of the guys on the “board” haven’t even touched or smelled a Natty. So.... that’s a hard answer.
