Back on the Campbell Camel

The only thing I would be concerned about a Matt Campbell offer is his family. It seems that his wife, Erica, likes the Ames small community and having their home just outside the practice fields so Matt can come home easily. It is hard to uproot 4 kids. It would definitely be a bit of culture shock and the fan base would have to lay out the welcome mat for the whole family. I think this is where AD White’s comments about social media were directed.

I think we fans need to realize this is not going to be the same type of coaching search that we have painfully become accustom to over the years. AD White is not Hamilton, Hart, Currie or Fulmer. I believe this guy is the real deal and will do his due diligence and hire a top notch head coach. Plus I think he will have his ducks in a row before he makes a pitch to someone, and I don't think he will take no for an answer and move on to the next guy on the list. His list might only have 1 or maybe 2 guys on it.

It sounds to me like DW doesn’t know who in the athletic department he can trust to set up his meetings and not immediately log on VN to talk about it.

He brought two of his trusted people with him. I don't think he's gonna be relying on people, other than Plowman and Boyd, until his own staff is in place.

Campbell does more with less. We need someone like that. Then recruting will automatically take care of itself. He's a builder much like Danny White kept referring to himself as. It makes all the sense in the world. It's just a matter of can Danny White get his guy if you ask me.

Jeff Scott was also co OC at Clemson with Elliot. He is at South Florida and finished 1-8. Elliot can come be OC but not head coach. Lane Kiffin, Campbell, Herman and in that order. Money talks. One of those 3 will say yes
