Dang. That really hurts. I mean yer super old so I don't really care about yer opinions but somehow it still just hurts. Can someone pass that along to invol for me since he ignored me please 😔.

Ryan Burns of 247Sports’ Minnesota site posted this tonight regarding Minnesota coach PJ Fleck’s possible involvement in Tennessee’s search:

I know Tennessee called and Fleck's side picked up the phone and listened.

I'm skeptical that Fleck would want to inherit that situation with the NCAA sanctions and the roster turnover in the SEC.

I also expect Tennessee to hire someone here in the next 72 hours or so, but at this time, I don't expect it to be PJ Fleck.

Of course I say that, and Tennessee could throw crazy money at him, but we'll see. That Tennessee job to me between the NCAA sanctions, roster turnover and that fan base is a gigantic red flag no matter what the money is.

Not saying he does but he did confirm PJ Fleck not only picked up the phone but listened to UT. It's an automatic self defense mechanism to be like "no amount of money would lure someone with those red flags there". He at least sounds nervous about it.

Regardless ...just stating he's better...and not arguing but any coach we hire this late in the game is going to appear to be dedicated to current school....

While, yes, Harbaugh had set a foundation, a very good foundation, he was 29-21 at Stanford.

Shaw has been at Stanford for 10 seasons; and keep in mind STANFORD, look at the history...and, not counting this past year: on average, he is winning almost 10 games a year, 75% of his games. He has won three Pac 12 camphionships, and won or tied for 5 division championships. As I said, not counting this past year, that is nine seasons, he has won or tied for a division title 5 of those. He's 5-3 in bowl games. As I told you the other night, besides this last season, which was his worst at 4-8, his next worst season was in 2014 at 8-5. All of this at Stanford, look at the history.

Look, I know you will want to argue, and go back and forth; but, im not going to. I believe your take on Shaw is a terrible one. If you truly believe those numbers is "gotten worse"...it's actually laughable, dude.

I bet he knows more than our local writers. His coach was asked about his interest in the UT job. I bet Fleck and his agent were told we have someone else as our top target but if he doesn’t work out we will move onto our next targets, we want to move very quickly. And then that info leaked to their writers.

I have faith that DW will hire a good coach. But the truth is this is a hard job. Dysfunctional program, players jumping ship, NCAA looming, toxic fan base.

We do have some things going for us. It is possible for a coach to come and turn us around and win an NC here. Along with the top of the program seemingly coming together under Boyd, Donde, and White.

But we're gonna have go pay for it. If we do land a coach that's a "whale" I suspect it'll be something ridiculous like 7 years 8mil per or more. And even for someone who isn't our top option it's gonna be expensive.
