Semantics are important. Every name mentioned was not confirmed as contacted. All they are saying is that they believe the search firm will vet those names. And the reason they believe that is those are the names that media and fans are mentioning. Nothing he said is anything but pure speculation. And it was worded as such. Taggart was the HC at Oregon in 2017. He left Eugene for Tallahassee

Only problem with that is media has reported we have the money to spend. VQ has mentioned a whale so it isn't just unknown posters on a message board throwing it out there. We actually did go get a whale of an AD and paid the money. This isn't like years before with no organization or solid plan and trying to get a bargain. With that said, the situation we are now in may lead to us getting someone that is a disappointment to the fans.

It's ok we can take it. Just bring us a good football team we can be proud of in the fall. That's all that really matters at the end of the day.

He's had one good season by Oregon's standards. Last season, not impressive at all. It's not hard to win at Oregon anymore.

All the money in the world doesn’t guarantee they will say yes. You got coaches at non premier schools making 4 million a year. Since HC salaries have gotten ridiculous they look towards other factors.

I didn't say it guaranteed it. But you said there was not an effort to go after a whale that that was just insiders talking.
