No matter who we hire there is a really good chance of that happening...hiring coaches is a crapshoot. I have reservations about every single name mentioned, and I don't believe my pick is coming.

Yeah, I'm at the point where I'm I just don't care if other fans bash me for being negative. To hell with it. Accepting this nonsense is one of the reasons we are an average program, at best.

I actually started watching the NFL again this year. Haven't watched it since I was a kid. I really enjoyed it. If I do end up taking a break from UT football (I will still watch the Lady Vols) then I'll just substitute it with the NFL.

I’ve remained positive for the past 10 years but even I know that at some point it is delusional. It will never change as long as people buy in to new, underwhelming hires. Thank God for YouTube and appreciating what we once were.

My only problem with trying to do this is that I don’t have a natural born NFL team to pull for. I live an hour from the panthers and their spring training is here but I’ve never been interested in them. But I have been playing NCAA Football 14 a lot with mods and roster updates. It’s a lot of fun to take over a no name school and build it.

Hey...I want Campbell too, but if you have ever followed him you would know that the loyalty and integrity thing is not a cliched cloak he wears...I truly believe he means it. We would have to offer more than money, it would have to be a pitch that pulls at his heart also, and I don't know if that is possible...I hope so.

We are on the same team, but it’s hard not to think that we are doomed. I would like to believe that we are always on our way back, but that never seems to be the case. It is what it is.

I agree. We need a sitting HC. Due to the “quiet”, agents are throwing names out. My guess is, we’ve vetted a few. But we still have a primary target or two.
If I was in a sitting HC, in a great situation, I would want to know the ins and outs of what I was getting into, what control I would have, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to know...until it was done.
UT and DW don’t mind all these other names being mentioned...it just helps as a distraction. JMO
