Campbell makes sense as the top target. No agent so no leaks. If he says no, they fully interview and negotiate with the other four and pick the best fit.

Since before Pruitt was fired, I've been following the search like most of us, and I can say that outside of Kiffin and Freeze (ain't gonna happen) I honestly cannot pick a favorite. This search reminds me of flying through turbulence and finally finding smooth air. That being said, until proven otherwise, I'm going to trust the new AD and his choice to lead us and hope his previous success's at UCF will follow him to Rocky Top. (smooth air).

Doubtful. Glaring difference is Saban changes position coaches and coordinators regularly and never skips a beat.

Dabo lost one assistant last year to USF and it was the first of any kind of staff turnover he’s had in forever.

He’s benefitted greatly from cult like staff continuity.

Dictator-like.......committed recruits can't take visits to other programs I read also.

I just hate the ideology that I'm feeling I'm being forced to have to support another coordinator hire when Plowman all but said money was no object and the consensus of VN is KiffIn/Freeze and only 2 above that are in NFL. I do like Fickell, Campbell, Napier and could support them easily also.

I get it though. Hiring Kiffin or Freeze gives off the vibe that we're snubbing our noses at the NCAA and maybe some want to avoid that but where does winning ballgames enter the script? I think it's 1st and foremost.

Fleck is currently making $4.75 million at MINNESOTA, which means he is likely not coming to this NCAA sanctions mess for less than $7 million. That’s a whole lot of cheddar for someone like Fleck.

I’d much rather get an offensive guru like Chadwell for $2.5-$3 million and then spend crazy money on assembling the best staff.
