They have been under mandatory salary reductions across the board for a while now. There was a report somewhere that Campbell took a large pay cut this year so that his assistants would not have to. I think 10% cuts from all athletic salaries, including FB. Could be wrong though.

Look, Athletic departments are in dire straits now. They are asking people to take pay cuts to keep the lights on. If Campbell really is as modest as he's been depicted, they probably expect he'll sacrifice a little for the good of the program.

Please watch the video, I've cued it up to where he starts talking about all the strategic investment initiatives (re: Spending) they are planning. He says one of the reasons Campbell has committed to staying is that they've committed to building a $90 million sports performance center.

Why are people saying we missed on our first choice? Just because we haven't heard any good news or is someone actually reporting that with a source?

I think it's because some people guessed it was Campbell and their AD seems pretty confident he's staying.

In reality, we're probably getting someone who is willing to get us through the ****** years for some fat paychecks until the job becomes more desirable.

I've gone through your posts over the last few days, and you certainly act like you have inside information. You were the one to throw these two (relatively random) names out: Jonathan Smith (Oregon State) and Jeff Hafley (Boston College) as being vetted.

Can you give us an idea of how you know what you know? Stoerner Fumbles explained his. I want to give you credit if you're right, but this cryptic crap isn't gonna get you that.

My sales job says “this program is at its bottom. The only way is up and if you win 8-9 games here the fans will love you. We haven’t won 9 games with any of our last 4 coaches and you can be a hero to our great fans”


In no way am I am mentioning higher expectations. The incoming coach will have those goals for sure but I am downplaying that talk to make them want to come here
