True, but I would argue that TE has been instrumental in building one of the top programs in the country. He isn’t like Pruitt who was always hired in to cush jobs. He has been there for a long time and has seen what it takes to build a program like Clemson. Chadwell has done great at building up CC, but they are different animals.
In my opinion, it would be easier for TE to translate what has been done at Clemson than for JC to translate what has been done at CC. Clemson is Tennessee for all intents and purposes from an expectation, budgetary, resourcing, booster, and recruiting perspective.
Somebody like JC will need to learn how to manage all of that. There is a reason that mega corporations poach executives from pier organizations rather than hiring successful small business owners.
