When UT is good again, I am going to miss our coaching search hysteria.

I'm not going to miss this at all. I've looked at my phone so much the past 72 hours, my eyes are noticeably starting to cross. I hope they go back to normal when this coaching search is over.

The Franklin stuff makes a lot of sense. Clay Travis said that high profile names had reached out to him saying they are interested in the job. With Franklin coaching in Nashville, I'm sure that he and Clay have connected before. Would not surprise me at all if this is one of the main ones he was talking about.

Still think it's Elliott but I could see someone not mentioned very much completely randomly announced at any time.

...BOOM Tom Herman

Think someone a while back said their wife’s are good friends.

Many might not remember, but Clay used to pleasure himself to James Franklin while he was at Vandy.

I'll say this much for DW, if he has kept this coaching search buttoned up and tight-lipped and DOESN'T land the white whale, I will never forgive him for robbing the fanbase of the only bright spot....our wacky insane coaching searches with info leaking like crazy and people running to fences to track planes.

He'll be dead to me.

You dont think all these G5 coaches or smaller P5 coaches being thrown around here will be learning on the job?

Very different. They are already used to spending a LOT less than 100% of their time on football and recruiting. Coordinators are not.

One example. Every HC has to do a weekly teleconference and a weekly radio show at some random restaurant. That's about 3 hours of their week that used to be spent on football and recruiting. Now think of all the other examples that take 1 or 2 hours away from football and recruiting like press conferences, academics, planning travel, disciplinary issues, etc... That's a massive change that a coordinator has to get used to when becoming a HC. Trying to learn to balance all that, while still spending enough time on football to remain as good at that part as you used to be, and while trying to squeeze in family occasionally, AND while playing UGA UF BAMA every year?

That's why I don't want a coordinator.
