If Franklin is truly innocent of the stuff at Vandy, (which he was cleared of all wrong doing) then he would be a walk off, bottom of the 9th, with 2 strikes grand slam hire.

The NCAA takes this stuff seriously. Freeze got the hammer, Briles, etc. He wouldn’t have a job if there was still a question mark with his involvement.

And before anyone accuses me of being a terrible person, if it ever came out that he was actually involved or covered something up, then yes fire the guy into the sun. But all we have is the fact that his name was cleared.

Also do you think Penn State OF ALL SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY would hire him after going through what they went through if it were even in doubt?

Many might not remember, but Clay used to pleasure himself to James Franklin while he was at Vandy.

Yep. He jumped on that Vandy bandwagon HARD when Franklin was there.

I happen to like Clay Travis, but I can see why others despise him. He'll say anything for ratings/clicks, and is a gigantic bandwagon jumper. He used to make fun of the NHL/Predators a lot, then the Preds went on that Cup run a few years ago, and he was down there on Broadway partying with everyone else and talking about how awesome hockey was.

The Franklin stuff makes a lot of sense. Clay Travis said that high profile names had reached out to him saying they are interested in the job. With Franklin coaching in Nashville, I'm sure that he and Clay have connected before. Would not surprise me at all if this is one of the main ones he was talking about.

I remember Clay having a friendship with Franklin. For some reason I remember Franklin hooking his son up w/ some stuff at the College World Series or something.

If it is Franklin we need Franklin on camera saying “The one thing Tennessee always does is beat the $hit out of Vanderbilt.” Assuming we beat them next year.

I went back and read the info on the case and a lot of the confusion comes from him telling the team he saw the video as to come across as fully aware of the contents but in his statement in the case he said he hadn't seen it

First off on the UT plane, I'm told it's flying today for some business on the University side and has nothing to do with the coaching search. That plane is currently in Atlanta. As for the plane landing in State College, that flight was scheduled since last week for the company that owns the plane. The flight is landing in State College for meeting with executives between the corporate office and executives of the plant that corporation owns. The plant is located in Lewistown some 20 mins. away.

No Franklin, nothing happening in ATL. LMAO
