The Franklin stuff makes a lot of sense. Clay Travis said that high profile names had reached out to him saying they are interested in the job. With Franklin coaching in Nashville, I'm sure that he and Clay have connected before. Would not surprise me at all if this is one of the main ones he was talking about.

They are actually really close Bass. Beach buddies as matter of fact. Both of their wives are super close also

Interesting, I think Penn State might not want to keep Franklin. Yes, he's had some good seasons there but he has only been 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in the Big Ten East the past few seasons. Plus, he is 1-5 against Ohio State, and went 4-5 last season. Not sure how well he would do against Bama, UGA, Florida.

Lands in Knoxville in 5 mins.

It was only on the ground for 15 minutes then took off for Columbus Indiana where it started the day and is apparently based.
So whoever was on it, got off very quickly with such a quick departure.
