I think they mean we could have left Kippy as the interim for that year (similar to what Ohio St. did) and gave us a year to find the next HC. Instead of making a panic hire like we did with the Doolander when we missed out first 1038483737 preferred options.

He probably won’t comment on here for awhile just like when he goes MIA after we miss on a recruit he says we landed. I like AV but he should’ve known better. Literally the only thing AP confirmed in that statement was that Steele hasn't been interviewed. Everything else was he BELIEVES JF was talked to. And the only 2 names they keep seeing brought up are Elliott and dykes. Meaning they have zero confirmed names and are Steele just guessing.

Yeah, I know. It would be horrible and universally hated. The day before Schiano Sunday, OSU played Michigan and Charles Davis announced it. He said right before kickoff that Tennessee fans may want to pay attention to the game and people still blew it off. The weeks before that VQ kept bringing up Schiano as a name that they kept hearing.
