Sounds to me like my estimate of what we needed to offer Campbell (6.6-8mm) was no where near enough. We probably needed to make him the highest paid coach in CFB and go to $10-11mm if we were going to land him.

So, let me get this straight. Just a few days ago this board was in lock step agreement that AP was a clown and has lost his sources. He was so far off on the AD search, we all were laughing. Now, he makes a post that provides you the negative confirmation bias the battered Tennessee fanbase was waiting on, and all of a sudden he is a prophet and we need to be really worried and concerned.

I can tell you this much, there is NO way DW signs up for this job to hire from a pool of James Franklin, Sonny Dykes, or Tony Elliot when there are coaches like Jamey Chadwell, Lane Kiffin, Tom Herman, Guz Malzahn, Billy Napier, P.J. Fleck, etc.

Are you all so damn battered and beaten down that you think DW, who is universally lauded as being incredibly smart and well connected, is going to hire freaking Kevin Steele or Sonny Dykes as our coach? Or that we're going to preach integrity and take a run at James Franklin but ignore Kiffin and Feeze?

Literally none of this lines up and you all are buying all this garbage.

I don’t buy it at all because i know for a fact that flecks agent has called around asking about potential assistants at UT Bc a guy who coaches here last year was one of them.

Just saying..it’s Jeff F***in Fisher wanting the tennessee job.that makes Freeze and Coach Fisher wanting the job on record.that’s the floor hire either one of them.I have no doubts in my mind with Fishers knowledge and years in the NFL his staff would be experienced All-Stars man.

I don’t disagree... I hope I’m wrong but think booster pride and not ‘integrity’ will keep us from the guys that bring the most excitement to the players and fans...

Elliott would be fine and could put together a good staff. I would rather promote someone from the staff than 10-26 in the PAC 12 Dykes

You can say what you want about Herman but he’s a better safe bet compared to Dykes and Elliot.

He wasn’t terrible at Texas, just quite didn’t live up to their expectations.

He’s an odd person for sure, but he’s won his fair share of ball games more than he has lost.

If not Freeze, then do what you can to hire Herman.

Save us the embarrassment.
