Interesting but the consensus (at least nationally) was that the fanbase reaction to Schiano and forcing UT’s reversal reflected more negatively on us than Schiano.

Well, I figure with AV showing up and calling for everyone to get behind the program, that must be something he no longer expects to happen organically. He seems to have gone from over the moon to Apollo 13 where we're just hoping against hope that we don't completely die. If experience is any guide when AV goes this route we're going to need a miracle just to stay alive. jmo.

Whether You believe or don't believe what has been said about Franklin, and I think he is a good coach, the fact remains that the PERCEPTION of his character is still there and it has followed him wherever he has coached. So after all the Administration and DW have told us about integrity, vision, and representing our university with class and pride I find it hard to believe he would be hired here just because of what many perceive, right or wrong, about his character.

The perception of his character is there only in Knoxville, Tn. It isn’t anywhere else. The folks at Vandy still love the guy. Penn State wouldn’t have touched him with a 10’ pole if that perception was there. Ask a Middle Tn high school coach what they think of him. That perception isn’t there. The only reason he has that perception in Knoxville is because he whipped our ass. At Vandy. It’s about hard to find a coach who hasn’t whipped our ass lately.

I don't believe you pay for an AD like we did and end up with Dykes. Surely after all we have heard about DW, he wouldn't go that route.
VQ doesn't know anything, and it seems like even people who might know something aren't saying names.
At the end of the day I think money talks, and our AD can get us someone way better than Pruitt. Maybe I'm setting myself up for disappointment but I am optimistic. We will probably know by Wednesday.

I always said the Schiano Penn St stuff was ridiculous, he was just a bad coach. I was proud of blocking his hire, but we can't do that again over this.

I’m just messing around. AP mentioned locker room updates as a reason Franklin would stay at PSU.

Saw that too, but the locker room upgrade reasoning just seems too preposterous to be true imo.
