I get it but I also think we gotta learn some patience & realize we’re not close to where we use to be & of all the teams in the East we always have the hardest schedule due to the big 3 as well as the other rotated schedule teams in the westIt's crazy when you HONESTLY think about it.
We talk about a "pattern" but the only real pattern is not landing the proven absolute winner and that covers 90+% of programs.
We've tried endless other things that's worked for all sorts of others.
The young electrifying NFL coach
The safe offensive minded coordinator
The smaller program winning recruiter
The defense minded, knows fb and the south winning program guy
Not only did things "not work out" like they did for other programs, we straight up hit scum sucking bottom each time.
I mean, come on, give TN fans a freaking much deserved break for a change.
Didn't say that. I'm just saying, because everyone thinks he is a good AD doesn't mean he is gonna come here and make a brilliant hire. If all the good coaches turn him down, what can he do? Hire a guy like dykes or elliott. Or kiffin/freeze/chadwell. And if he hires a dude like dykes or elliott then he clearly isn't as good as everyone thinks.Yes ONLY AV thinks Danny White is an elite AD...

I'm willing to give Chadwell a shot, but if he's the hire, it means we whiffed on several targets. Even with sanctions looming, not a good look for DW when he reportedly has an open checkbook.SIAP: Kress also mentioned on his show this morning that someone told him today is a BIG day for Chadwell. He wasn't sure if that meant final interview or offer. Just that today was important.
If they hire elliott or dykes type coaches instead of kiffin/freeze/chadwell.... Then it's blatantly obvious they don't really care about winning. That's all I've said and it's the truth.I'll never understand people who say "UT doesn't care about winning" after offering coaches $8M to come.
If they didn't care about winning, they could easily hire a "respectable" candidate with $4M. You could have announced Dave Clawson last week, who would run a clean program and finish like 7-5, 8-4 yearly (and never win the SEC). But they are aiming higher than that, even if it costs more money.
They are swinging for the fences, and might strike out. But that wouldn't mean they "don't care about winning".
