What if SF’s post on HC option C isn’t Dykes but was Chadwell and SF liked Elliott better then him??

SIAP: Kress also mentioned on his show this morning that someone told him today is a BIG day for Chadwell. He wasn't sure if that meant final interview or offer. Just that today was important.

Fans aren’t going to like hearing this but I’d venture to say the program is probably in the worst position it’s ever been. Even with a truckload of cash we’ve chewed up and spit out coaches—all the negative stuff that’s circulated around the program is going to take more than throwing money at a coach to fix. I was listening to EA and he was talking to caller that said “we aren’t going to be happy”—kind of shows you where we are at as a program.

You just can't read? I said he would be a bad AD if he hired someone like dykes or elliott when kiffin and freeze are available.

People are afraid of hiring an assistant again because the last guy failed, but what they forget about the equation was how close Pruitt was to succeeding here, and that his ultimate downfall was his attitude and temperament. And we were warned about both of those things before we hired him. Tony Elliott has the exact opposite reputation.

Right. Pruitt did not fail because he didn't have head coaching experience. It was because of attitude, QB situation and getting an all SEC schedule. He would have probably won at least 6 and a bowl game, and the most of us would be saying that next year would be better with a new QB and more talent.

If we want you gone, we will open an internal investigation on you and invite the NCAA in to investigate you too. This will find all skeletons and probably set your career back severely. Also, once we find damning evidence, we will send you off with no buyout. We are willing to accept penalties from the NCAA to save a buyout.

If we had fired Pruitt in November and held an internal investigation only, the NCAA stays clear. Pruitt is fired because of underachieving and coaches understand that.

Now coaches have to watch their back coming here because the first sign of failure and we will find anything and everything to get you gone. You don’t think Pruitt and others on staff aren’t talking to other coaches? This was handled poorly to save a buyout and of course it will deter many coaches away.

Fan BS is crap. UGA and Bama have the worst fans. Do you think Bama will have a problem hiring anyone after Saban? Did UGA have trouble finding anyone when they let Richt go? Nope.

It’s not what happend tho. Pruitt was an ***hat and he got turned in by one of his own people. They made an official complaint. When that happens you have to follow protocol by the book. Could you imagine if we tried sweeping it under the rug and the NCAA caught wind of it. We would be in very very deep doodoo. But we got ahead of it and notified NCAA of our findings and kept them in the loop. The NCAA should show leniency with a slap on the wrist because they are absolutely undermanned and swamped at HQ. now I agree with you that this isn’t the fans fault but at the same time we are not helping our situation.

He supposedly from SC people (probably wrong) didn’t do well in his interview with them so maybe it’s final in person interview and he’s Whites next top choice barring anything bad happening.
