No offense meant to you but wtf does Mike Farrell know. With the right coach and some good recruiting/development we could absolutely be contending in 2-3 years.

I don’t know, probably nothing. He was suggesting that our roster #’s will be in the 60’s and we would look like Penn State or USC after they took their hits.

This is off topic, but anyone that was on yesterday and saw the post about 2 hunters getting shot and killed on Reelfoot lake. It was 2 young men in their mid 20s. They shot some swing ducks and a 70 year old man in another blind got mad about it and went to their blind and killed 2 of the 3. The 3rd fought him and got away. The shooter is still at large. Extremely tragic and uncalled for. Over some dang ducks. SMH

So how many offensive coaches from Clemson who worked under Dabo are there? I know of two:

Chad Morris: disaster
Jeff Scott: lol, 1-8 this year, disaster.

Why do we believe that Elliot would be different?

Chad wasn’t that good at Clemson and has an awful personality. Scott wasn’t the play caller

I don’t love all these hires but I could talk myself into them. There is absolutely no way I could talk myself into being excited for Sonny Dykes.

I will take any of those over Sunny D.

#1: Chad Morris had his own identity before taking the Clemson job. He was a long time high school coach in Texas.
#2: Jeff Scott was second in line on that offensive staff even though they shared a title. Elliott has called plays the entire time.

Good with all except Elliott. Needs to be a someone who has HC exprience. That's why I don't have high hopes for Herman, because AV said we'd hire a sitting HC.

My guy at Athletes First tells me there has not been any chatter about the UT job in the agent community in 48 hours. No vetting. No phone calls. No rumors. Nothing.

This gives me a flashback to when we all thought Currie had his man under wraps. We were all prepped for a splash hire while he frolicked around at the Bahamas tournament. Then we all got whiplash with Schiano sunday.

I think we're trying to convince ourselves with really no evidence that this would be a good hire. But, I'm trying to keep my same mentality, that if DW sees it in him, he has a great track record.
