Highly doubt he has been offered. He has been pushing his name hard to media in this from beginning. So it’s either he was always doing it for a raise and never an option or he really wants it and playing the game to make us think he might not take it if he keeps waiting to see if we are desperate. I lean toward later that he is fishing to see if they are really serious about him being an option or if we have a guy and he should move on. Everyone looking for info

If I'm DW and if James Franklin is the guy I want more than anyone else, I would circle back to him before offering the job to any tier 2/3 candidates candidates. If you were engaged in serious talks with JF, he clearly has interest in the job. See if you can overcome whatever hurdles kept him from saying yes the first time around before hiring a google coach. Its completely feasible that he turned us down. I think he is already the highest paid OC and is going to get another raise. They will be preseason 1 or 2 next season and have a legitimate chance to win another championship next year returning so many players. He could afford to wait and see what opens next season.

I can’t honestly believe Sonny Dykes turned us down.

I would want Leipold over Elliott. Proven winner. has shown he can build a team with less talent. He's the type of hire we've yet to make/try and the one that honestly makes the most sense if you can't go out and get a proven big time winner in p5.

Leipold is a very good coach. I think he might not be able to bring the type of staff needed for the SEC. But you are right, he has won big wherever he has been
