The biggest thing i take away from it..... we’re probably about to get hit pretty hard with ncaa... other coaches didn’t want to take it Bc of that and we might as well just ride out the next 2-3 years and just hope we get lucky with ncaa and heupal

I think if they trot out a hire along the lines of JH (if it's not him I can't imagine it's going to be a while lot better), then the administration better be prepared for something that's not happened for the last few hires. The fan base is going to immediately be skeptical of the hire. Even the Dooley hire almost everyone bought in immediately (son of a coaching legend, southern charm, great hair, won the press conference & they rallied around the anti-Kiffin sentiment etc). Butch had a decent resume on paper for people to buy in and Pruitt was the anti-Butch.

I'm not a fan of a JH hire, but I doubt they're going to give the job to anyone who would truly bring excitement. I'm just curious how they'll sell a coach to a fan base that's not fired up to buy in

I don’t think people are just gonna buy into anything this time.. I personally have gotten behind each hire. Even the ones I was skeptical about at first. Enough is enough.

UCF’s 247 recruiting rankings starting with ‘21 and going backwards are:
61, 75, 60, and 62.
Obviously JH can do more with less but isn’t that the case with Freeze and Chadwell. Even more so and they want to be here. Josh makes $2.3M per at UCF. Wonder what we’re shelling out for him?...

Yes. I think Mullen would have gotten the offer regardless. Not sure that is the case with JH. Not knocking him but just logged in after 8 hours off and I’m not sure what to think yet if true...

It feels like JH wasn’t even offered. I doubt he has even been considered. AP is out of the loop. The narrative will change overnight. One of the best ADs in the country didn’t come to Rocky Top to bring JH and think that’s okay. He’s better than that and the local guys have been played. We will have a much better hire soon. Keep the faith my friends!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no actual coach has publicly declined an offer. For that matter all the media has is names and speculation from unknown sources but nothing official from anyone on either side. Does that about cover it?

Also, watching the basketVOLS game Sankey did an interview, the SEC really did have all day meetings with ADs.

So there is a good chance that DW had a few candidates come to Knoxville for interviews, JH may just be one of the guys that interviewed today. Short flight from Orlando to Knoxville.

Got home from work and skipped a lot of pages trying to get caught up. In less than 5 minutes it went from Freeze to Steele to Sutterfield to Cristobal to #%%/÷÷#%^^&<_%$":&&$"÷×+........ I couldn't scroll fast enough to make sure we had not hired Butch back. So UCF's head coach? Hey, he has a great offense.
