No, he’s not.

He’d easily get worked by Saban, Day, and Sweeney.
i completely disagree. Strong motivator, incredible mind of a coach, and as I know multiple people who have played for him who would run through a brick wall for him to this day. He was brilliant in getting Baylor back on track. He buys into a lot of sports science stuff that I think will be huge in the future.

He’s not leaving Carolina imo, but I think extremely highly of Rhule.

Dude if we pulled Mike Tomlin I'd lose my ****. He's an amazing coach.
Didn't Tomlin come here to visit Kiffin when he was here? Maybe a Super Bowl winning coach would like Knoxville scene. The picture is grainy.

We just want a proven P5 coach.

Me too.. Sounds like we offered Franklin $8M and he said no. Saban is the greatest college coach ever and makes $9.3M. TN backed up the brink truck and nobody opened the door. Had we done this after Kiffin or Dooley we'd gotten a yes. What else are we supposed to do? Do we think vol Twitter/social media slamming every coach helps us attact a good coach while we have a crap roster, one of the toughest schedules in the country annually, and NCAA violations coming down the pike?

Reality is we need a competent coach who can stabilize this ship and make TN respectable. Because no A luster seems to want this job.. Since we don't have many options at least JH has consistent top 10 offenses and a strong track record of developing QB's.

One thing I just learned about him is he is a defensive guy, I always thought he had an offensive background.

Played WR & coached that position group a few stops, but the bulk of his tenure he was a defensive guy. He's also only 48, originally from Virginia and graduated from Memphis. I don't know if he'd actually come here or not, but if ever there was a coach you wrote 8m a year for that'd be the guy. (He's making 7m a year right now & his contract ends this year...).

I highly doubt it happens, but its a pipe dream and fun to think about.

I missed a lot by skipping. Could someone tell me how VQ came to the conclusion it is JH? (Before they said the inks not dry of course.)
