Still stuck 13 pages behind but the eerie comparison is that both schools were thrilled when we hired away the coach. Lot of chatter on UCF about how he lost the team, not well liked, and team regressing each year.

Offense is good because of tempo but defenses will always be bad

Defense was bad across the country this year. And Kiffin's defense was also atrocious. 2nd to last in the country.

Bottom line?

@Atlanta VOL was wrong. @LA Vol was right. Plowman bit off way more than she could chew and she choked. We were better off leaving Pruitt one more year then firing him. That way we didn't self report to the NCAA. Then we probably could have had Freeze, Campbell, Fickell, or Fleck because we wouldn't have these incoming crippling sanctions.

We will be back here in 4 years. Enjoy the shi*show.

Could not disagree more. The athletic department obviously needed an administrative pro. Given the sh*t show with the football program, the UT hierarchy made a play for an outstanding AD. Then, given that, the AD had to plug in a football coach he could trust. A coach who has delivered and is young yet proven. In other words, solid. IMO, this may have been a ”known” strategy to placate looming NCAA actions. Also, IMO, ATL Vol, was most likely knowledgeable of the same. In summary, take care of NCAA, upgrade the AD, stabilize the football program. An entire packaged investment made most likely weeks ago. We’ll now wait on the NCAA. If they go light on UT penalties, then it bears out. If not, then I’m flat wrong. Regardless, incoming qb’s, wideouts, tight ends, and running backs are about to be delighted! As am I, for the first time in many years, as it pertains to Tennessee football. I may be alone with my thinking right now, but I believe many will see it this way, sooner than later.

100% agreed. Self-promoter. Never stays anywhere long. The guy left us on fire in the middle of the night. He turned our athletic department into a USC wallpaper company. Think of him like a psychotic girlfriend that was hot but as little crazy. It's fun if you're not married to it, but we made the mistake of marrying it. Then it cheats on you, leaves for something different, empties your checking account, bad mouths you to people you know, and you get stuck with the rent due on the apartment and a pet you didn't want in the first place. Then she gets dumped and suddenly starts saying good things about you again. You're flattered but know you better never go back there again. She gets fat, bounces around to some other guys and the whole time keeps talking about you and what could've been.

Only an imbecile would take that back.
That's perfect!!!!.... psychotic girlfriend! 😂 And some of our fans are so tired of their bad dates they are ready to go back to her because she tells them she was wrong lol.

But couldn’t stay the last 2 weeks thus he’s a quitter

Did he graduate? I'm not sure. I don't think grad transfers should be labeled as "quitters" because they go somewhere else afterwards for more playing time.

If he didn't graduate then okay I suppose you can make that argument. 🤷‍♂️

The beef that I'm seeing with Heupel from fans of his former stops is that he doesn't seem to understand situational football. Even if they are up on an opponent by 10+, he will continue running a sprint-offense, leading to 3-and-outs, then a tired defense is back on the field in like 2 minutes.

Again, how much does that really change for us after going 3-and-out routinely or turning the ball over regularly anyway?

We're bipolar AF. Went from complete nuclear meltdown to acceptance and even excitement from some, all in the span of an hour.

We just want hope...we know the next few years may be tough, so at least we might put up points. and, if he does turn us around, maybe he'll stick around awhile.

Where did it say we offered terms? I could be wrong. But where has anyone reported that it was formally offered?
Low said it today. Elliot was very interested in the job. The job fell to him Monday night, he notified Tennessee around 2pm yesterday he wasn't coming.

That's the type of offense we will need to run to get upset wins. Pedal to the metal all the time. We let up, we let other teams back in it. Bama didn't slow down at all this year. They just kept scoring.
