Why? What is the reasoning behind it? I'm not seeing what there really is to bash. He has better offenses than Harsin that was hired at Auburn in a tougher conference. Harsin was universally praised. Heupel also has a higher win %. He also has coached in the SEC and had the top offense at a mid level school.

Because he has regressed every year he has coached. Scott Frost was the one who built UCF. Heupel was slowly tearing it down, statistically. Look at his record.

He has no business calling out a depleted fan base for being cautious on buying in after what we've gone through the last decade+.

He was probably too honest...but he was correct. You are just mad at the message. At some point, we (yes, all of us) have to look in the mirror and change things we are doing to make this work.

The adults are fine. The children are pitching hissy-fits.

I honestly don't know much about Huepel other than his coaching history. Took a look at his HC record and wasn't impressed. Looks to have regressed each year at UCF. Doesn't really show everything, but also doesn't really instill fun and happy feelings.

I'm still new at this Heupel (sp?) stuff, but I haven't seen or heard anything that is not to like. Now, let's see who the staff is going to be, and how many players hit the portal, but he seems like what we need, at the moment.

The thing about fans is.. They are there before you get the job and they are there long after you get fired.

I could really do without the fan blaming. "If you don't like what we're doing here, just wait and we'll show you soon."

That's really all you have to say.

I understand the sentiment of wanting people to be positive. But you're dealing with people that watched the most incompetent humans on Earth sit in your seat and drive this program into the ground. Maybe just.. Don't go there until you've shown you are different than those guys.
