Hey, if Steele is the guy for defense, then great. However, I'm sure coach knows exactly what he wants on offense. It would make zero sense to keep someone for any reason other than he is the best person for the job. That is not necessarily a knock on Tee, but there is more to consider than that Tee won a Natty here as a player.

Football is becoming like basketball in many ways, one of which is that you don't exactly need a well-rounded team in order to be at least pretty good. Well-rounded teams are still the ones who usually win titles, but there are all sorts of really good teams that aren't well-rounded by have great players in a couple key positions (like QB) and they improve quickly.

I agree. It has increasingly become more and more about matchups. And the quarterback has by far and away become the most important position in sports. It has been for a while, but now I would have a hard time finding a close second.

You hate to say this, and it’s kind of unfair, but to a degree the quarterback position here has gotten 2 coaches axed. That’s pretty broad, but ultimately it could be argued.

does that mean 81 for one year?

does it mean 24 signed 4 years?

Does it mean 21 signed 1 year?

He was asked a question about it. He may have been too honest...but his answer wasn't wrong.

True, but at the same time we have to stop contributing to the negativity around the program. Both of these things can be true.

If Heupel wins here and puts a good product on the field, the negativity will diminish. He may not like it but it's the truth.
