He isn’t wrong. Negativity on social media accomplishes nothing.

You cannot under any circumstances blame the fans for negativity if you're a newly minted AD taking over a program with 5 coaches in 11 years and a cloud of sanctions.

I'm not defending JH. I'm still not thrilled with this hire.

Fact: JH was a better QB.

Fact: Tee's a grown ass man who acts like a child.

He cries over not getting a job he didn't deserve. There's multiple reports that he'd attend coaches meetings with JP with his airpods in or completely avoid going all together. He's not a professional individual.

Our local media constantly pushes a narrative to incite our fan base. Which makes the fan base appear worse than it really is.

Media like KNS is a major problem for this program.

If Tennessee fires Heupel without cause before Dec. 15, 2023, it would owe him the remaining salary on his contract. His buyout drops to 75% of the remaining salary if he is fired between Dec. 15, 2023, and Dec. 15, 2025. It drops to 50% for the final two years.

Solid buyout protections for Heupel. 100% of salary for first 3 years then drops to 75%.

When we fire him Dec. 16, 2023, we're going to owe him $12m.

Wonder what our University leaders will pull then to get out of that money

I anticipate TN to announce soon a self punishment of 1 year post season ban, and 6 scholarships reduced over 3 years.

I am super excited about the direction of our program with Coach Heupel! He can do more with less and will offer and exciting brand of football to our eyes who have not seen one in over 5 years. I can't wait for the start of the season to see us score some serious points. We still have players on this team that can do great things. We have a coach that can outscore most in this league. Why? What is the reasoning behind it? I'm not seeing what there really is to bash. He has better offenses than Harsin that was hired at Auburn in a tougher conference. Harsin was universally praised. Heupel also has a higher win %. He also has coached in the SEC and had the top offense at a mid level school.

I don't get that either.

If I was the AD I'd constantly preach/ask the fans to STFU with the negativity on social media.

Let the players play, the coaches coach, and a good AD will try his best to keep the venom outta their ears. I for one see no problem with it.

Tee and his family have had a complicated road with UT. I like him-- always have-- so I'm glad he's moving on. It's best for him. I understand how he feels now, though.

Very complicated.

He's never felt the love from the fanbase that he thinks he deserves - and I think he's right to a degree.
