Just give it to him and make him go away. To stir up this kind of drama after all that has happened here is childish and petty. Not the type of behavior I would expect from a VFL.
Here is where I am...
Clean sweep. No holdovers from previous staff. No one with previous ties to UT / relationships in Knoxville. We need a clean slate to create a good culture.
I don't remember any as a player either. That was prior to the social media era, but I'm talking about his time as a coach. Always seems to be this narrative he was passed over, not given a fair shot, promised something he didn't get, spurned in an interview process, etc. Might be knox media having a punching bag for clicks or something. I don't know. Just wish we could have a staff/team/school that was focused on winning games rather than controlling the headlines. Not disputing you at all, but I don't remember any drama as a player. Seems like we would have seen glimpse of this. He sat behind Peyton, kept his head down and really was a great teammate right?
Ya can't say things like "let the coach hire his guys" for previous hires then have feathers ruffled about CJH doing it. Not saying -you- specifically have feathers ruffled.
I 100% believe through my own deductive reasoning that Plowman went ham to put Pruitt outta work for a little while and it had less to do with the buyout.
Its just the nature of the business. Fulmer's promise is only as good as his ability to carry it out.Fulmer screwed Tee Martin. I understand Tee's frustration. He took a paycut for the university and was promised an extension. He turned down a head coaching job back home with the promise of staying in Knoxville at his alma mater. Fulmer deserves the ire of his frustration. Not DW or Heupel.
And I can't blame Heupel for not wanting to retain him, because I'm sure he knows how Tee conducted himself this season behind the scenes.
they overestimate how much they matter. It doesnt help, thats for sure. but while they're wallowing and making a mess, the team and coaches are trying to move on. shame on them for putting personal gripes above the success of the program.Tee and Haynsworth probably going to get together and make sure Tennessee is never successful again. I hate this damn program most of the time.
I agree, but my takeaway from your last post is in bold. It all starts with our leadership and flows down. If I don't lead, hire and manage my people correctly in my role I would see these same type of colossal failures. I'm hopeful but not convinced we have that problem taken care of.I don't remember any as a player either. That was prior to the social media era, but I'm talking about his time as a coach.
