My parents live in Laguna Vista (about 10-12 miles as the crow flies) and can watch the launches from the golf course they live on. I want to plan my next trip down for a launch.

That's awesome. Did they watch the last one? I've been scouting airbnb in laguna Vista and South Padre. Wasn't sure if you could see the landing in laguna Vista though.

I don't mind that its has taken Heupel a few days to decide on a DC. Its so important to get it right. If we can secure a really good DC and have a solid D with this O man no telling how good of a season we could have. I know we need help on the D side but I think they are better than what they showed last year under what's his name. lol

Yeah..my brother loves working for Space-X. He is a supervisor over a fabrication crew now. He started out as a fabricator. If I understand what they do correctly..they operate 3D printers that make parts.

Brother, thank you. Yes, Drew had two MRIs this week on his spine and brain. This afternoon, he and his parents met with the radiologist and oncologists and got news we were all hoping for... there is the slightest indication of shrinkage. It’s a nasty cancer and it looks like it took a hit. We will take this small victory today. Thanks, @volatil.

So glad for the update and praying it keeps shrinking. Update us when you can. I hate to ask even though I am always praying.

Was he the one that was upset JH didn’t say bye..... if so..... it sounds like he is going through all the stages of grief.

This is one of the reasons that DW was so upset about the leak. Coach is a class guy and wanted to tell his former team personally that he had taken another job and I admire him for that. I'm sure or I hope that he had a chance to meet later or talk with the UCF players and smooth things over.

Wouldn't read too much into that. They're all understandably upset Heupel left and they found out through social media first instead of him. But what I've heard is that tweet as about possibly hiring Lebby. All the players have been begging for him to get hired.

Which I believe is why DW is so upset about the leaks. Social media is also how our players first heard about it. That's not how it should be.

Yeah..... I have never understood the hate for insiders..... we all crave info and should judge on our own who we trust and ignore who we don’t....the best insiders are still typically getting at least second hand info and are not sitting in on negotiations....the most ridiculous I ever saw was skeeter.... it was obvious he was close bc he was almost 100% right.... he missed one time on a guy that told coaches he was coming.... our fans chased him all over the board ridiculing him.

The only thing I can figure out is they get upset because they get their hopes up so they lash out when they get disappointed. It's like watching grown men act like teenage girls. They certainly get emotional when it comes to their sports team.

Calling UCF UCF instead of central Florida wasn't DW. That started around 2005 i think when they rebranded from golden knights to just nights.. But yer points about him marketing the brand are correct. He wants to create an identifiable style that makes the program stand out and be easily recognized. One of his big contributions there was UCFast. Started with frost bringing Oregon up tempo offense then he picked Heupel to continue it. Heupel wasn't quite as up tempo before he got there but ended up being faster than frost was. At both Buffalo and UCF he raised money for the athletic department at exponentially greater volumes than either program had ever done before. People think he just hires coaches but that is a small part of what sets him apart from most ADs.

and his local business incentives are amazing for the community and part of why the money comes piling in.

The local economy will get stronger Bc of how he does business and the platforms and connections he builds.
