Perfect weather and more beautiful women than the eye can see.

#freebatmansson so he can go to college in Cali
Agreed. My sister lived out there for 12 years and I'd visit often. My first time out there she said we were going to a playboy mansion party...but it fell through. I will never forgive her 🤣

Jeff Fisher invalidates your argument. Why am I a joke?

Jeff Fisher?

I don’t even dislike Jeff. But there is a absolutely no evidence he’d be a good college coach. Bill Callahan, Lovie Smith, etc... all basically the same coach as him in the NFL. Long tenures with a Super Bowl loss. Couldn’t cut it in college.

Maybe he’d be the Pete Carrol, but based on what?

The hire alone. He hired a coach that has overseen a significant decline of a program he took over that happens to be far easier than the SEC. 6-4 year 3 after taking over a 12-0. That is material and the data doesn’t look good. Sure, he has fun offense but clearly he isn’t outperforming his competition.

Such a lazy non-analysis. I have refrained commenting to you in the past, but no more. Find another baby pool to pee in.

I will say whoever wins the starting QB job, if they play a full 10 games they'll go over 3k yards.

Cause even looking at the SEC numbers at Missouri as an OC Heupel's offense put up yards. They seemed to struggle a bit scoring against the better SEC defenses, but still racked up a ton of yards. We'll be able to move the ball, I'd also be interested to see how many punts Missouri had in those seasons compared to others.

This is my take right now on the easiest opponents we face in 2021. I'm basing this off of recent performance. I’ve previously posted tables of our new offense which suggests it struggles against better defenses. Well, the aspect of those better defenses which inhibit the success of the offense appears to be opponents stopping the run.

Pitt has had stout run defenses the last couple of years, #12 & #3 in the nation. I don’t know if Pitt will have a good run defense this year or if they will have a drop off. In any event I’m thinking that after the dust settles we may still have a decent talent advantage which might give us an edge.

I think Tennessee Tech, Bowling Green, South Alabama, and probably Vanderbilt and South Carolina should be wins. I would expect Kentucky to have a relatively decent defense but they don’t often have much for an offense. I think we may be able to grind out a win in Lexington but the Cats may offer stiff resistance.

I don’t know about Missouri because with their new staff they haven’t yet established their typical defensive reputation. This could be a higher scoring affair.

With Ole Miss at this point I’d lean toward expecting a shootout. I think Florida reloads and I’ll be surprised if with their talent their defense doesn’t return to form in 2021. This past year it sucked. I don’t think we’re going to have the horses to run with Georgia or Alabama. jmo.

Wonder if he will adjust to the best SEC run defenses (which like you say tends to slow this offense down) by adjusting toward more passing, say 60/40, still fairly balanced though.

Seems that's how you have to beat the best SEC defenses...by going over and around them, like 2019 LSU did so well.

Bailey will have 1000 after the first 3 games.

Good post and valid points, IMO. There should always be counter arguments IMO. We are assuming he is a developer offensively because we have a long history to observe his progression as a coach. In a previous post I point out the defensive problems at UCF have the common denominators of Randy Shannon (and Willie Martinez). Allegedly, unknown for sure, Shannon was given to him by DW. Don't know why he would be there for three seasons.

That being said, I see good development with what CJH could control. How did UCF do against better teams and did they keep the hammer down against who they should beat? How did Mizzou's O do against better teams? I see QB development and progression. The wild card continues to be D staff selections IMO. Don't know. But it could determine the fate of his tenure.

I am looking for trends as a coach and person - not hard numbers and stats. Already know those. Does the guy have the overall acumen to communicate to his employer, staff, players, fan base, etc. the vision/mission as well as daily stuff? Can he build consensus with a large majority of the people he interacts with daily? That has not happened on the hill in forever. Does he have the system and schemes to compete at a high level and are they adaptable to the roster he does have and can attract here? Does he have the desire to compete his brains out? He did as a player, think he has a coach. Does he have the ability to adjust on the fly in game conditions? Does he man up in adversity or blame others? Does he reflect the personal and professional values we fans want as well as his employer? That sort of thing. I firmly believe those type points determine ultimate success and failure of any coach.

Dools was a loser Day 1. I had first person observations of him in direct dialog a few months after he was hired. He lacked most of the points I made above. Botch was a salesman and when adversity hit everybody and everything else in the world was at fault. He was a marshmallow with the players - especially with his pets. He did not have elite level schemes. By the time of my last visit to a UT camp practice with a VFL friend he had turned into a crazed paranoid doofus. We were sold an image of a old school, southern football coach/teacher with Pruitt. When in fact, he had zero ability to communicate and build consensus with others. We all thought Fulmer would smooth the rough edges and grow him as a coach and person. In fact, he enabled it and made things worse. We now know he had none of the points I made above.

All three of those very different guys had one thing in common. Control issues. They were micro managers of minutia. They had no overall vision. Time will tell with CJH, but at this point I see a bigger picture guy. Way too early to confirm it. Personally, I have made the choice to trust the new blood that has been pumped into the program by DW and JH until proven otherwise. But eyes wide open.

I've got some serious ADDH and I can't seem to focus when

What was I typing?

If Tee was not the 98 champ QB he would have been given the Azzani treatment from folks on here. At least Azzani tried and was able to score a WR coaching job with the Bears.

With the way things are going down with Tee right now I don’t believe he will get such an opportunity.
Today is the last day of his contract

Also worth mentioning that even without Trey and wanya we still have a MUCH more talented OL than Missouri did so hopefully that will help to some extent
