Not always. They didn’t dominate that Super Bowl against the Falcons. Don’t feel like checking their rankings vs every SB win, but in that same vein Manning’s defenses were in top form during both WINS. The Colts one got a boost when Bob Sanders finally was healthy and the Broncos win was the defense being a generational squad and carrying Peyton.

It’s just not Belichek, it’s the organization. Belichek hit his stride at NE with his role as the manager or GM of all things football. The only thing I give Brady credit over the other great Qb’s is his longevity pass the age of 40.

Disagree with you. Built his team without having to worry about his franchise QB...frees up his options. He’s really meh’d it up on those fronts the last few years.

The patriots defense didn’t dominate the Super Bowl although they didn’t allow a single point during the come back..... they were the top rated defense that year though....Did Peyton ever have a top 10 defense before he went to the broncos?

I think he did the season after the SB win...lost in the first playoff game.

I mean.... Peyton led his team to the Super Bowl by having the most deficit comeback wins in history....
