agreed. It’s as important as ever, it just looks different these days. It’s more about pressuring the QB and creating turnovers and less about stuffing runs and getting shutouts.

You chose to ignore all facts and stats instead of a body of work. Don Brown had top 25 defenses every year except this year. In a covid year where they only played six games. Ridiculous to hold one year against the defensive staff when they have been one of the best since Harbaugh got there.

We lost to GA state and BYU last year and beat some bad teams for the streak. I don’t think anyone should be judged for a Covid year. If we would have brought Pruitt back, I wouldn’t have liked it but I would have understood it.

If White is targeting a minority hire for the DC position then I have some questions to those on here that are opposed to this approach.

Do you think it's unfair?
If you do think it's unfair, would you be questioning why haven't we been talking to any minority candidates if all the coaches we have talked to had been white?

When you think minority hire do you think of someone who doesn't deserve the position they just acquired?

Lastly have any of the minority candidates that we've allegedly talked to not been qualified?

Yes, it’s unfair. If reports came out that our AD only wanted to hire a white guy, that would have us all feeling pretty weird. You can’t justify only wanting to hire a white guy, just like you can’t justify, to me at least, ONLY wanting to hire a minority.

Thanks, man, for dragging me back into the sh!t heap. My point was that UT wants to explore diversity candidates from all backgrounds-- and the university does exactly that as a matter of policy. The president and chancellor have said that numerous times in numerous venues, in support of UT's diversity program and its formal guidelines, which apply to all departments.

I did not say that anybody is mandating hiring someone of a specific color or ignoring or passing over people of a different color, gender, ethnicity or sexual persuasion. I did not say this is why it's taking so long to complete the staff, nor did I imply that hiring a minority (of any minority group) is "less than" or "not as qualified" as any other hire. It's neither mutually inclusive or exclusive.

Yeah we just downloaded the Apple TV app and subscribed. Everything I've watched so far on there has been pretty good. Ted Lasso was excellent.
