Add Kutas and we have the same list.So let's talk recruiting: who do we feel good about landing for this class as of the beginning of May? I'm going to go with:
Jordan McDonald
Pope
Tayvin Jackson
The Foley kid at TE
Addison Nichols
Fisher Anderson
Cameron Miller
D'Arco Perkins
And I think we end up with Horton
Anyone else? What do y'all think?

Ughhhhh it's so hard to care anymore I wish it was 2023So let's talk recruiting: who do we feel good about landing for this class as of the beginning of May? I'm going to go with:

QB play can be the difference from 3-8 wins.Let's also talk football for a second. Let's say that Heup produces the same results with a QB, be it Bailey or Milton, that he did with Locke or Gabriel. That is, let's say Heupel immediately has an impact on these guys and they throw for 3300 yards, 24 touchdowns, 10 interceptions. That's almost identical to Locke's sophomore stats, the year after he was atrocious only completing 49% of his passes with more interceptions than TD's. It's similar to Gabriel's numbers as a freshman also, though he had more yards and touchdowns.
So let's say that happens, not saying it will, but it certainly isn't impossible. What's our record if we get that kind of production at QB this fall?
I haven't followed recruiting very much, so I'll defer to you on this list.So let's talk recruiting: who do we feel good about landing for this class as of the beginning of May? I'm going to go with:

No, that's a list of people I'd say we lead for right now with the exception of Horton. I didn't put any reaches on there or hopefuls like Hayden. I don't know how many we're going to sign, will depend on scholarship restrictions. It's hard to answer the last question because, for one, I'm not sure who all of our targets are or what the NCAA stuff will be. I'd say that if we finish 8-4 that will help us more in the '23 class than in the '22 class. If we finish 4-8, I'm not sure that affects it too negatively either. Maybe with guys like Horton and Miller. But I think Heup is telling people not to expect too much year 1.I haven't followed recruiting very much, so I'll defer to you on this list.
Questions:
Would you consider this list to be optimistic?
How many are we going to sign?
How does this list change if we are 8-4? How about 4-8?
