Just no way we can compete with that
Proven...no one can, except Clemson. Ohio St and UGA recruit just as good...Ohio St was taken behind the woodshed, and UGA has lost six straight to them. Clemson has been able to hold their own; but, are still 2-3 against them since Saban (2-2, though, in the CFP...both wins with ALL WORLD QBs).

Literally makes me want to puke. I would be the biggest Bulldog, Gator, Dore, Buckeye, Trojan, Irish, whatever fan, all rolled into one...before I ever rooted for Bama in a single game, in ANY sport.

Where's @butchna ? What's your opinion on the Fields pick?
Just recovered from a grand mal seizure. Last true franchise QB for us was Sid Luckman. We don’t get a shot at these kind of guys in the draft...skip that we could have drafted Aaron Rodgers but had Rex Grossman. 🤮 Don’t want to jinx him with excessive hopeful expectations but...

Both are quality picks and needed. Some have said the Okie State OT Jenkins as well.

Give me E-Moore all day everyday. Want Tannehill to have weapons.
Taven Jenkins was who I was hoping for at #20 for the Bears. Something about thanking and God and unanswered prayers.

Clemson matches Virginia Tech, Northwestern, Miami, Florida and Penn State with 2 first rounders

I wonder if in the next few years Clemson will fade, like Oregon.

They are really good, but have they been buoyed by elite QB play?

They’ve been trashed the last two years on their way out of the play offs and have never really had overwhelming talent, if NFL draft performance is any guide.

Time will tell

ACC says to tell you, Clemson aint going anywhere.

In some ways, I agree, but Oregon slipped down a peg or two without any elite programs in the Pac-12 rising to supplant them. One year the elite QBs left, and things became slightly harder for them. They've finished in the top 25 once in the last 5 years, after dominating the headlines for a decade.

I'm not suggesting utter collapse to extended irrelevance for Clemson. Just slipping to consistent 3 to 4 loss seasons that land them at the back half of the top 25. In other words, they get back to being the Clemson we all knew growing up...

It really is sickening how stacked their teams are.

At this point, I've concluded it is an indictment on the sport of college football.

In what other sport does the top team get all the top picks?

There's got to be a way to create balance. Allow players to go to the NFL sooner (that brought incredible balance to college basketball) or maybe give extra scholarships to programs that miss bowl games or just hired new coaches. College football has always been top-heavy, but it's gotten ridiculously top heavy in the past 10 years. It's honestly kind of boring that way.

I think they do. Theyre still going to be solid and maybe a fringe playoff team because their conference is so weak, but I could see them dropping one or two games a year more often now.

swain seemed pretty excited to get him last night too, and he's long given up on the Bears. Feel bad for Andy Dalton though. Gingers always get the worst luck.

They’re not slipping with DJ UIAGALELEI. He may advance their offense.
