I will give you your floor prediction. There’s no ceiling where I sit. Beautiful sky that’s the limit. I see 15 as the top limit, but that’s only because there would be no more opponents to beat.

Our HC has his guys on the offensive side. Please see our Spring game. Didn’t matter which players were on the field, coaches had plays for each players strength and utilized it.

Our HC for the first time since he has even been an OC has a really good defensive coaching staff. The only team that they cannot stop will be the one that they practice against. Most of the transfers have been defensive players. I think that we will see a different defense when they don’t have to go against CJH. Just watch.

DCJW...WGWTFA!

I am VolsDoc and I am an OptiVOL!

All the “realists” are gonna get steamrolled!(not directed at you Vols4us at all)
I am plum tired of low expectations. We win them all.

As Knute Rockne said, “We didn’t lose, we just ran out of time.” I never ever felt like a loser when Johnny was the HC. I didn’t feel like a loser through the majority of CPF’s tenure. But started to know which games we would lose before kickoff. Then starting with kiffin, I felt like a loser. That ended when pruitt wad fired. A VFL should never feel like a loser. It’s unnatural. The hiring of CJH has restored the balance of my universe. 🤠

Look at Vols softball, tennis, golf, baseball, and basketball! Now we’re starting to roll!

Kupcake ain't ever gonna have a better career than Phil. He will never sniff 25 tour wins, much less 44, and that is not counting Euro tour wins...I can't stand that sandbaggin prick.

I don’t like the guy but at 31 Phil had zero majors and he has 4. I really like his chances to surpass Phil for his career. I think there are 3-4 current players though that have a great shot of passing Phil for overall majors.

How quickly people forget that some coaches know how to develop players into being their best selves. We've had the opposite for so long it is lost with many on here. Just some general observations, but doc and I are on the same optimism page. So let's look back to see forward.

Which players/position groups did well at UT despite the team failing overall for more than a decade? If the consistency of those players/position groups year after year was good, the assigned assistant coaches were probably good developers of talent. The coordinators may have helped the better performing groups as well. Who went on and made NFL rosters? Who were critical pieces in winning games at UT? In general you have your answers as you look back.

To be successful as a team requires more. The system, schemes, game day decisions, play calls, individual player usage, injuries, etc. come into play more.
Which is why Heup was 6-4 last season at UCF. 10 experienced players opted out for COVID right up front. During the course of the season they lost 4 more starters IIRC. Full stop. No point in going further after the winning of the previous 2 seasons under him. Despite it all the O kept lighting up the scoreboard. They lost within one TD/conversion in all but one game - the last one against a quality BYU team.

Willie put a few d-backs into the NFL from last season's roster. Why then was their pass defense so bad at 299 YPG allowed when the pass rush was as good as the previous season statistically when they only gave up 199? Same DC (Shannon) both years. The team stuff. The development of the individual players was good or those guys would not have gone to the NFL. The scheme, play calls and chemistry of the position group was off. Why? COVID - 3 experienced d-backs and 3 experienced d-linemen opted out. Opponents adjusted to what the DC/Willie were doing to compensate. The guys simply were not on the same page as a position group. The pass rush stats were similar, but the missing d-linemen may have been effective in their roles that do not show up in the stats. They certainly would have provided more depth and as a result those who did play would have been fresher. Most likely the pocket would have been pushed back farther and more pressure on opponent QB's applied than the stats revealed.

We have a coaching staff who can develop players based on how they developed players in their previous roles. Historical facts. From what we are seeing so far, they can also scheme well and operate in an innovative system. So let's get Heup and win some games.

Finally I see a question from BGS i am 100% qualified to answer.. Industry standard is Queen is 60 x 80, King is 76 x 80 and California King is 72 x 84. Yet when you actually measure, all manufacturers cheat a couple inches on width and length, saving on materials i guess..

Mattresses be like

@LA Vol isnt giving me high hopes of keeping Vitello. Dude has built this program from nothing! Pay the man and let him build whatever he wants his ballpark to look like! Classic UT to piss away a good thing!

Tony V has given UT the gameplan for keeping him. UT just needs to execute. If UT is willing to invest in him, his staff and his vision, good chance he stays. I think he'd like to stay, build and see his vision for LNS brought to life.

What I'm saying is, that's going to take cohesion and time. Approval, plans, budgeting, funding, bidding, permitting, scheduling-- it's a process and it's been parked in the early rendering stage a while. UT has phased in some of his requests for players. But there's only so much UT can do about LNS this off-season. And Sexton is going to do what Sexton does, if he has an offer-- none of which is insurmountable, if Tony V wants to stay.
